OK, so perfect timing, Celtics at Knicks (also on ESPN) tonight.
Kyrie in the house! Everything will be hyper-analyzed.
Will the expirings (Jordan/Matthews) get minutes? Will DSJ start? Will Kanter play?

Intrigue! Get your popcorn!
Friday night Knicks!

Newest Knicks Dennis Smith Jr., DeAndre Jordan, and Wes Matthews won't be active or playing in New York against the Celtics tonight. Not sure how the Knicks lineup will look without them but I'd say it's fair to put them as underdogs against the Celtics.
Anyone in the stands want to suit up?
Just LOSE baby!
Wise. I mean we don't have a pure PG in tonight. Allen's not a pure PG, is he?
We've replaced the Michigan Men with the Arizona Men!

"I don't owe anyone shit. Ask me July 1."
LOL. Kyrie, not subtle.

Kyrie needs to stop talking about leadership - hes terrible at it. Hes incredibly fun to watch, but if they traded him within the next 6 days... Id honestly be fine with it. Go to New York in July and play for the worst NBA owner of the 21st century. Good luck

Kyrie Irving said at the end of the day hes going to do whats best for his career. Ask me July 1, he said about whether his mindset has changed.
@ShamsCharania
Sources @TheAthleticNBA @WatchStadium: The Boston Celtics aren't a preferred destination long-term for New Orleans star Anthony Davis, and in Davis mind, remain a rental option.
If Irving leaves we keep Rozier .... and still have multiple 1st picks ....
The Lakers current chips for Davis are trash. We can only hope New Orleans is serious about not serving him up on a platter to them. If it gets pushed to the summer, the Knicks have a great shot.
Ditto.

and what it means for the Knicks. Echos my feelings as well. Link - ( New Window )
The article is right about one thing - your opinion of the deal hinges entirely on your opinion of the Knicks front office and their ability to actually land superstar free agents. If you think they can actually do that, it's a great deal. Since I don't think they could lure a mouse with a block of cheese, I think it's yet another Knick folly.
Time will tell.
And what would you prefer them do instead?
I think we all know the answer is that you'd prefer they do exactly what they did so that you can complain about it. You'd think they personally pissed in your cheerios. Or worse (for you, anyway), went to Virginia Tech.
The next five months are basically like the time between when you buy a Mega Millions ticket and when the numbers are drawn. You can dream about all the things you'd do with the winnings, at least until you find out that you lost, which was the most likely scenario all along. Or, you can just immediately start thinking about the probability of losing in the first place as soon as you buy the ticket. As a fan, the team is buying that ticket on your behalf whether you like it or not - what's the benefit of choosing the doom and gloom outcome months before it actually happens?
Just strap on a fresh pair of big boy jorts and hope for the best. It doesn't cost you anything extra.
How Lowry made the all-star team this year is scary. He at best is the Raptors 3rd best player, probably even 4th.
No one of any consequence

Knicks upcoming draft picks:
2019: Top-4 overall pick + 2nd rd via ORL, CLE or HOU
2020: NYK 1st + CHA 2nd
2021: NYK 1st + DAL 1st (unprotected) + CHA 2nd
2022: NYK 1st + NYK 2nd
2023: NYK 1st + DAL 1st (protected 1-10) + NYK 2nd
I'll post this here too. We do not have a top 4 pick right now. That is impossible. We have a top 5 pick. If we move up in the standinds so does that number 5.

Do they have a ton of assets? Need to extend Rozier this summer and Brown next. Hayward is making a ton of money and looks like a shell of himself. This concept is sooo overblown. The clippers and kings making runs this year really hurt them, imo
That roster is much more than a playoff team -- that group minus Hayward essentially went to a conference championship.
If Kyrie bolts and that draws Thompson or KD away from GS, that opens up the path to a championship for lots of teams, including the Celtics.
GS is still king -- and the Bucks, Raptors, Cs, and 6ers aren't a threat for a ring until something chips away there.
No
And Trier. Yep. And maybe some lucky fan in attendance.

I cant and wont claim #Knicks are definitely getting a top free agent because they have missed in the past and I have nothing definitive at the moment. What I will say with certainty is several within the organization are very confident at the moment almost borderline cocky.

Has Jason Kidd's son been right about anything in the last 3 years?

DSJ not playing tonight.
