A great competitor and maybe the finest woman skier of all time -- to say nothing of also being a stunning beauty. At 34 her body just can't do it any more. Loss of a fiery, wonderful skier, a model for all who follow in her tracks, is sad for the sport.

athlete, one of the best skiers of all time, and represented the USA well.

If you have not followed sking, check out Mikaela Shiffrin. She is on pace to pretty much take down all of the records in skiing history. a phenomenal talent!

I'm the last guy on here to usually comment on "gossipy" stuff, since I barely know who any of these people are, but MAJOR upgrade from Tiger to PK. PK is one of the best people in sports. Rarely do I use the phrase, but he is a true role model.

THE greatest women's downhiller and GS skier of alltime. Way more accomplished than Picabo Street. Had an incredible tolerance for pain and remarkable ability to rehabilitate from potential career ending injuries. Try reading about the extent of her injuries over the years that she overcame, it will blow you away. Very sad day for skiing.
