I'm a little concerned about where Zion fits on the NBA floor - he's a very unique size/skillset. Hard to compare.
Vitale's over the top, nonstop drooling is getting hard to listen to.
I'd still take him 1st if we won the lottery, but he's tough to project.
I kind of like the Shawn Kemp comp - they play a similar game. Kemp was taller and more slender, though. Zion is a like an uber-athletic BRICK.
If he can develop a relatively consistent shot, he'll be money. His motion is sort of ugly, but if it works for him, so be it. He did drain a 3 a little bit ago. There's some stroke there.
I wouldn't be TOTALLY shocked if Reddish was the better pro, though. I think his game translates a little better to the pro game.
I just don't want to hear LeBron comps for Zion anymore. Zion isn't that type of player.

Barrett is the better pro prospect of all of the Duke trio. He reminds me a lot of Scottie Pippen. He’s a legit Swiss arm knife.
Reddish needs better ball handling. And he can get very one dimensional when his shooting. Very streaky. I actually thought he’d be better based on his hype.
Zion is nowhere near LBJ’s game. That comp is flat out wrong. I see a bigger version of Nique, actually. He’s got the added draft quality of putting asses in seats. That’s going to likely push him over Barrett. But, again, I would draft Barrett.

I don't think Zion is the prospect Lebron was, but I do think he"ll be a very good pro. Barrett just seems to be the type of player that will put up stats on a losing team. Reddish, I don't know what he will be because on this Duke team he's a stand in the corner wait for the ball guy. Zion is clearly the number 1 player in the country though

Do you meant Reddish or Barrett. I would not be shocked to see Barrett a more impactful NBA player. I would also not be shocked to see Williamson become the best player in the league.
Zion LOOKS more like Chuck in his jersey but I think be plays a little more like Kemp. It's just harder to envision because Kemp was longer. Regardless, there are similarities to both players - I can see each.
i'd still take my chances on him - I wouldn't draft Barrett or Reddish over him, I just wouldn't be absolutely stunned if either of the other two guys had a smoother transition into the pro game and found their niche quicker.
I think for Zion it's going to be important who he plays with and what type of space he'll get on the floor. He just seems difficult to project. I actually think he would have fared better if Kemp and Barkley were his contemporaries - the game today is something I feel he'll need to do some adapting to and he's not necessarily a "sure thing."
I muted the broadcast at the 14 minute mark of the first half. I don’t know how anyone can listen to him anymore. How many times a game can he yell “Are you kidding me!!!?”
Every play Zion makes Vitale acts as if he’s never seen a guy dunk before. Just incessant fellating of everything to do with Duke. It’s nauseating.
Vitale felates every big time program, and especially even moderately successful Head Coach.
After the 10th time he mentioned Zion potentially being a New York Knick... I changed the channel. Enough already.
With that said, they already kicked him off the top couple broadcast teams and more or less relegated him to SEC work and the occassional non-competitive game like Duke-St Johns. He's done a lot for the college game so I dont have any issue with the current set up.
Separate note: Roy finally has UNC humming... going to be a great one pretty soon against UVA.
Frontcourt of
Durant, Robinson, and Zion.
Backcourt of
DSJ and Kyrie

I don't think he will be the best pro of the group, but he is a monstrous athlete.
