McVay needs to adjust better. Split Gurley out or get him a shovel pass, basically anything in space to open the offense up. They are getting stonewalled at the LOS.
he runs the same personnel in pretty much the same set more than anyone else in the league. He runs lots of different things off of it but all that relies on play action. That's pretty much been taken away from them.

I dont think its the score, its the execution. These QBs look terrible. Goff isnt recognizing pressure and Brady is throwing some really bad passes. Looks like preseason. A well executed low scoring game is fine.

Agreed. If teams are executing on both sides of the ball but aren't scoring it's still exciting to watch good plays being made. This one so far has had way more poor plays than good ones let alone any great ones.
The D's have been solid but they're getting help from the QBs not playing well.

No way. This is more than just defensive scheming or stops. Both QBs are playing atrocious. The play calling looks unsure and sloppy on both sides. Both offensive lines look like they went out drinking together last night.
You also have a few blown calls by the refs in the first half on a penalty and missed catch.
A) Clearly Gurley is way < 100%. Prolly has a knee or hamstring or something with a leg.
B) They miss Cooper Kupp a ton. He's the closest thing they have to a top possession receiver.
C) They don't seem well prepped for the consistent 5-6 guys the Pats are rushing and not having Gurley to dump it off to is hurting them a lot.
D) CJ Anderson should be at home or in the stands watching.
They've got to come with a counter to the pass rush that opens up sooner than whatever they are running. Pats are so well prepared.

Even from a fan perspective I don't think Gostkowski kicking a chip shot is even odds with trying to run fourth and short against Suh and Donald who would know its coming. Converting on that play is infinitely more important than the 100% vs 99% over argument afterwards.

The rams decision making on offense was a ducking joke. It was like last 2 minute of game Andy Reid was coaching the whole game.

I think McVay was an idiot for going away from what they do best on O and what got them there and that was playing fast. They led the league in snapping the ball within 5 seconds of it being set ready for play and yet they decided to stay in the huddle for 15 seconds practically all night.
Romo called that genius strategy but I call it idiotic. Hell, it was so genius it got them a whole three points! To me it played right into BB's hands of wanting to slow the game down, and limit the Rams offensive plays. McVay tried to outsmart BB but IMO he outsmarted himself.

Even from a fan perspective I don't think Gostkowski kicking a chip shot is even odds with trying to run fourth and short against Suh and Donald who would know its coming. Converting on that play is infinitely more important than the 100% vs 99% over argument afterwards.

The rams decision making on offense was a ducking joke. It was like last 2 minute of game Andy Reid was coaching the whole game.

I think McVay was an idiot for going away from what they do best on O and what got them there and that was playing fast. They led the league in snapping the ball within 5 seconds of it being set ready for play and yet they decided to stay in the huddle for 15 seconds practically all night.
Romo called that genius strategy but I call it idiotic. Hell, it was so genius it got them a whole three points! To me it played right into BB's hands of wanting to slow the game down, and limit the Rams offensive plays. McVay tried to outsmart BB but IMO he outsmarted himself.
And, I don't think they ran it enough to be honest. They had a few 3rd and 2 or 3's and they threw it when I really think a run could have sprung them a first down.
And the Rams OL was a huge dissapointment. Goff wasn't good, but his protection was subpar.
The Rams played like they did, sans the last two regular season games versus scrub teams, to end the season.
I think they got great running versus Dallas which took pressure off Goff, and NO....well, they probably should have lost that game.
You've got to stick with the run.....they didn't do that.

I agree about all of that except Suh. I didn't think he was anything special tonight. In fact I thought NE played it perfectly in doubling Donald so he didn't wreck their game and taking advantage of Suh's aggressiveness. Suh might've played hard but he didn't play smart or all that effective IMO.
