pretty silly to criticize McVay. BB outsmarts just about everybody. He's a young coach withca young QB - they played a good game but BB came up witha great defensive game plan and shut their offense down.

The rams decision making on offense was a ducking joke. It was like “last 2 minute of game” Andy Reid was coaching the whole game.
Rams couldn't run the ball

and the Patriots got unreal pressure on Goff all night.
Bellichek coaches

against a young coach and comes up with a game plan to stop him. So, that diminishes everything McVay has done? It's not silly, it's actually pretty dumb

I think McVay was an idiot for going away from what they do best on O and what got them there and that was playing fast. They led the league in snapping the ball within 5 seconds of it being set ready for play and yet they decided to stay in the huddle for 15 seconds practically all night.

Romo called that genius strategy but I call it idiotic. Hell, it was so genius it got them a whole three points! To me it played right into BB's hands of wanting to slow the game down, and limit the Rams offensive plays. McVay tried to outsmart BB but IMO he outsmarted himself.
I thought McVay....
BillKo : 2/3/2019 11:17 pm : link
...did a terrible job of getting Goff comfortable in the game.

And, I don't think they ran it enough to be honest. They had a few 3rd and 2 or 3's and they threw it when I really think a run could have sprung them a first down.

And the Rams OL was a huge dissapointment. Goff wasn't good, but his protection was subpar.

The Rams played like they did, sans the last two regular season games versus scrub teams, to end the season.

I think they got great running versus Dallas which took pressure off Goff, and NO....well, they probably should have lost that game.

You've got to stick with the run.....they didn't do that.

Gurley 10 runs? That's too quick to give up.
do agree
bc4life : 2/3/2019 11:20 pm : link
about Rams OLine getting stampeded. Huge difference between Patriots DLine last SB and this year
BillKo
bc4life : 2/3/2019 11:21 pm : link
There was some talk about an injury to Gurley - they may have tried to downplay it.
better team
bc4life : 2/3/2019 11:23 pm : link
won. BB has been smarter than everyone else since the 80s, he's only gotten more experience

Or a huge difference between the Eagles OL last year in the SB vs the Rams one in this SB.

For sure....but I think McVay has some run opportunities that he bypassed, when you could see Goff was struggling to get his feet wet.

And did the Rams run...
BillKo : 2/3/2019 11:28 pm : link
..one classic screen pass all night??

With the Pats' pressure, that seemed to be an easy dial up.

They did run one nice WR one that got them around 17 yds but I don't remember one to a RB.

That's what I mean.....whats the best way to slow down a pass rush? Screens to the RB.

McVay just didn't have it tonight.........
For those morons bitching about that FG attempt
speedywheels : 2/3/2019 11:51 pm : link
You’re fucking stupid for passing up a chance to go up two scores with a minute left.

The Pats offense had been brutal all day, no guarantee they make the first down, thus giving Rams a chance to tie needing 60 yards.

Gostkowski has been a money kicker (earlier miss notwithstanding), and yet you armchair assholes think you know better than the greatest coach of all time.

What a fucking joke. Go back to your basements.
McVay and Goff were exposed
sb from NYT Forum : 2/4/2019 12:23 am : link
I don't know how anyone can argue that.

Wade Philips, Suh and Donald are the only reason this game seamed close.

The Rams offense was absolute trash and their fans should consider this game a lasting embarrassment. As should the NFL.

I agree about all of that except Suh. I didn't think he was anything special tonight. In fact I thought NE played it perfectly in doubling Donald so he didn't wreck their game and taking advantage of Suh's aggressiveness. Suh might've played hard but he didn't play smart or all that effective IMO.

Two tackles is not enough from him imo, especially when the Pats ran it 32 times for almost 5ypc avg.

Good post. I stand corrected.

Congrats Brady and Belichick, well deserved!!!

So glad your team won! Now go find a Patriots MB.

Fucking troll ass loser.

What’s your deal? This is not a Rams board.. Hes got a right to root for a team same as you or anyone else does.

Hsilwek has serious anger issues, the therapy is clearly not working.

Lmfao. Yeah, whatever you say douche bag.
Holy shit

Rams Offensive Line...
M.S. : 2/4/2019 6:51 am : link

...reminded me a lot of OUR offensive line!

Why was McVay so pass happy? He almost got his QB killed out there. Reminds me of Jim Fassel's pass happy Super Bowl against the Ravens.

Is there a player that comes up smaller in big moments
