Gronk...

jcp56 : 2/4/2019 3:39 am
I know Edelman had the MVP stats, and the defense was the real MVP, but when big chunk plays were needed, they went to Gronk. His reception set up the only TD. Although winding down, I still think he's a much more valuable talent (will be harder to replace) than Edelman.
I think he retires

How much punishment can the man take
Edelman was virtually unstopable

the entire playoffs.

Not sure why you need to compare him to Gronk.

Perennial powerhouse.
Despite Edelman's excellence

I would have given it to the entire defense. Holding the Rams to 3 points was incredible.
A two way TE

Like Gronk is the linchpin of their versatile offense. That team is very different when he is injured.
Gronk is one of my favorite Non-Giants...

Both bc of of his disposition and his play.

Yeah, you might say he is a dimwit but I think he embraces it and is just happy to be himself. My guess is that he would be this happy and jovial if he had a normal blue collar job.

I also think he is the best TE of all time. His receiving prowess is obvious but of all the great TEs I think he is the best two way TE. He is a terrific blocker - FAR better than Gonzalez, Sharpe or Gates. I never saw Winslow, Newsome or Ditka play but I think he is the best ever.

Not sure about MVP but I do enjoy The Gronk.
Witten is also up there...

bc he was a true 2-way TE who did both at an extremely high level.
He should retire...

...esp if he wants to live a decent life going forward.

And, I think the Pats would seriously consider releasing him in terms of what they pay in return for performance. Guy is hurt a lot.

One of the few Pats I really like..............
Gronk blocked tremendously well this entire playoffs

Its like having a fifth pro-bowl offensive lineman in there
Agreed Gronk probably one of the best 2 way

TE's in NFL history...

I would put a gentleman named Bavaro up there also if not for an injury shortened career...
I was too young to see Bavaro

But among TEs I have seen, Gronk is by far the best. All due to respect to Tony Gonzalez but it's not remotely close in my opnion, Gronk is just on another level from every other TE I've seen.

His catch was arguably the biggest play last night. Just a legendary talent.
