Brady and his career

Route 9 : 2/4/2019 3:50 am
Let's play a game.

How long will Brady keep playing until? Dead serious. 45? 46? ....when will this ever end? It seems like well see this forever and ever and ever.... I have no clue.

And how many rings will he have when he retires according to you (BBI member reading this thread?)
And Eli can play just as long

Uninjured athletes don't suddenly lose their arm strength. Brady wouldget killed behind our oline.
Chances of injury are only increasing

And I think the jets and Bills are on the upswing (praying is probably more accurate) so a non playoff season is in his near future. I'd say he has two years left.
That game was not a out Brady last night.....
Simms11 : 2/4/2019 9:08 am : link
He was not good at all and appeared to show some age IMO. I think he tries to get to 44 which he's been saying, but who knows?!

I think it ends with an injury.

Not that I'm wishing it, but that's how I see it playing out.

was Phil and Boomer with Travis Kelce talking about the different throwing motions btw Brady, Goff and Mahomes, and that a key to Brady's longevity was how compact his motion was. Less wear and tear on the arm/shoulder.

should have seen a 3peat last night for a 7th and that mightve done it for him. Fuckin Eagles.

Brady
PaulBlakeTSU : 2/4/2019 11:10 am : link
is smart, takes care of himself, and gets rid of the ball fast. So he will last longer than most QBs who avail themselves to more punishment.

But the reason Brady will be able to play for several more years is because Dante Scarnecchia coaches up a line that gives him incredible protection, and Belichick/McDaniels have devised offensive schemes that rely on Brady's strengths of quick short-to-intermediate routes.

Brady just dropped back 125 times in the postseason and was sacked just once against teams that average sacking the QB on 7.6% of drop backs.

The Patriots have done an incredible job protecting Brady and playing to his strengths-- but that's what the Patriots do. They play to their strengths.

I don't care how great Brady is, he would not have had this success if he played behind the Giants line the last 8 years.
Brady is clearly not the same quarterback he once was
Bramton1 : 2/4/2019 11:21 am : link
Not a top 5 quarterback anymore. He was a Dee Ford hand away from throwing 3 picks in an AFC Championship Game loss to the Chiefs.

Next year, he could fall out of the top 10. I can't see him playing more than one or two more years. At 44, he'd be a liability.

Tom Brady was pressured on just 5 of his 36 dropbacks last night (14%).

It was the lowest pressure rate for a QB in a Super Bowl since Drew Brees in SB XLIV (13% vs Colts) and Brady's lowest ever in a Super Bowl.

It's unbelievable how great the Patriots offensive line is at scheming and protecting Brady game in and game out over the course of his career. Belichick/Scarnecchia is a ridiculous combination.

That's really how close it is.

An unforced error basically cost the Chiefs a Super Bowl appearance.
He didn't seem to miss

Iíd like to know what game ESPN was watching because I saw Brady under pressure more than five times.
Brady looked like crap for a fair part of that SB win.
BlueLou'sBack : 2/5/2019 2:15 am : link
Lucky for him, the Rams' O looked worse as McVay failed to adjust to whatever the Pats' D was doing.

If he's smart, he'll retire this off-season.

He's not that smart. IMO he'll show considerable decline in his game over 2019, and won't win another SB.

Lol @ this. He's the GOAT. Anyone betting against him does so out of a childish hatred for his achievement.

6 SBs and 9 appearances the 3 last ones. Winning 2 of the last 3.

Appearing in 4 of the last 5 and winning 3 of the last 5.

Let's look at it in a different way. Only 3 QBs in the history of the NFL have more titles in their CAREER than Brady has had in the last 3 years.

What kind of insanity does it take to speak confidently that this man won't win another title?
If youíre betting against Brady at this point

On the other hand, Brady just won a SB with virtually zero vertical game. And thatís not because he canít throw deep anymore. Itís because they have no vertical talent. Once Gordon was suspended, they really morphed into a smash-mouth running team, as well as a predominant short passing team.

I donít overrate Edelman. So with a broken down Gronk, and C+ receivers like Hogan, Dorsett, Patterson, this may be the least impressive cast of playmakers to ever win a SB.

Thatís why this SB is so impressive. They did so much more with so much less.

I wouldnít count Brady out just yet if Belichick reloads with more receiving talent.

Wow....people here are crazy
EricJ : 2/5/2019 7:59 am : link
Since the game ended on Sunday, I see people saying Goff sucked and Brady sucked.

It is at all possible that both defenses played extremely well and that was the difference vs the QBs playing like shit??
