Anyone else experiencing email outages with comcast?
Its weird that my email is out but others in my office are working fine. Per comcast staff they are aware of it (nationwide) but do not have a solution yet.
is the isp. My personal email which is comcast.net is now working but my business email is still down. I can send and receive business email on my phone (verizon) but not my desktop. Comcast techs keep telling me its an outlook problem. If so why would the verizon network be working and the comcast? Frustrating as hell.
why would anyone use comcast for their email when gmail is available?
I have accounts on both and gmail is functionally inferior. The format is horrible, the layout is something out of late 1990s. Comcast has some goofy things, like two steps to return to your inbox after opening an email. But they really upgraded it and it is functionally similar(IMV) to MS Outlook, which I used for 20+ years. Their latest upgrade improved mobile phone functionality. Everyone has things they get used to in any program that makes them easier to use, and to me, comcast is pretty good.
I dont know about you but my Gmail inbox looks exactly like outlook.
Using Comcast email is a travesty.
My gmail looks nothing like outlook. It is very simplistic. Where are you getting that? Did you change settings or modify the page?
Why is using comcast's email a travesty? Have you used comcast's email? At first I did not like it, I only accessed it occasionally when outlook would invariably would crash or lockup. I finally realized that Outlook just accessed comcast's webmail page and when Outlook crapped out again a couple years ago and lost all my folders and a large portion of the email addresses, I stopped using it.
Here's some links on how to make Gmail look/act more like Outlook
Most of the links copy each other, but there are some extra tidbits if you go through them all. Enjoy!
