announcers and studio people have to be on the Lakers payroll at this point. Almost all of them are pushing the narrative that the Pelicans have to take the offer the Lakers made and how they're not sure the Lakers should even be offering that much.
The Lakers offer is hot garbage. It's just a lot of hot garbage. But hot garbage plus hot garbage still equals hot garbage.
To be fair, it's not just them. Fox Sports is no better. The NBA media is full of Laker and LeBron Stans (not to mention Magic and Kobe Stans). KD may be a lot of things, but he wasn't wrong about the media having their heads up LeBron's ass and the toxic environments around his teams.
but dont like the morris trade. Morris is an expiring and a descent player, the wiz couldnt get a pick back?
I put the chances that AD gets traded today at like 1%, there is just no benefit for NO. Might as well wait. Personally id like to trade for him now cause then i dont have to stress on draft lottery day, lol
watching it i dont know if it hurt the knicks or helped lol
I don't think it did either hurt or help. I get why he's pissed. If anything, it reinforced the idea that KD wouldn't be able to handle the NY media.
do you know the backstory?
Yeah. He was going after Ethan Strauss. Even called him by name. Ethan who is butthurt over not getting a story from Durant. If there's anything more than that, I don't know.
Because people are presuming, probably correctly, that the Dubs are going to win a 3rd straight ring & then it's, 'Well, where are you going this summer?'

yeah and basically he has been wroting every day how kd is irgnoring the media because he doesnt want to talk about the kp trade and it means hr is going to the knicks

I love Durant, but he can STFU.
He purposefully orchestrates his contracts to give himself annual flexibility to assess where he wants to play virtually every offseason.
That's totally his right, and extremely smart.
But don't shit a small sedan when the media and fans then go speculate where you're going to play.
If keeping it on the court and not having it analyzed to death is so important, sign a max.
If he can't commit to a veritable all star team, that he sought out, in a brand new arena, in the most desirable area of the country, in arguably the most relevant city in the world right now, maybe he's just kinda asking for it?

I'm not sure he can handle NY and being THE guy. I have serious reservations about how he handles adversity because it seems to be not well at all.
He won't have guys like Harden, Russ, Steph or Draymond to pass the buck off to when things get rough here. If he comes here, even WITH Kyrie, he is going to be the no-doubt Alpha dog here and the guy expected to carry the Knicks.
The spotlight is going to be directly on him more than it has ever been before and I think he's a bitch who won't handle it well.
It really is fantastic, though it does keep the Celtics in play. The Laker locker room must be pretty toxic right now.
@ShamsCharania
The Wizards are trading Markieff Morris to the Pelicans, league sources tell @TheAthleticNBA @WatchStadium.

I looked it up. This saves money for Washington and NO got a second round pick out of it.
