Essentially told his defensive coaches the Rams had no answers for them - just avoid any screw-ups getting the calls in and the personnel on the field. I was surprised Brady had to lobby for the FG at the end - figured he'd be the one urging Bill to go for it on fourth down. |

My buddy at NFL Films cut the audio from when Belichick was miked up on SNF against the Packers this year. I don't think it made the air, but during pregame Belichick noted that Rodgers was wearing a hand warmer. He had a guy run back to the locker room and pull the film from the Green Bay game in Chicago, and noted something about Rodgers tipping passes and runs by how he put his hand in the warmer. |

is playing checkers was basically written for this guy. He seeks out every possible advantage, no matter how subtle or seemingly unnecessary, and pursues it. Why the fuck he decided to piss away that game last year though is beyond me. |

His team didn't have a turnover (the Eagles had one), never punted, his QB threw for 500+, they ran for 100+, and they were 50% on third down conversion. The Eagles, however, were 10 for 16 on third down, 63%. Which is lights out. I have to think somewhere along the line Butler couldn't have done worse than the way the secondary was playing... |
