Theres a scenario where Boston flames out early in the playoffs. Kyrie leaves, Morris leaves, Horford opts out, Rozier leaves, and those "treasure chest of picks" amounts to 2 picks in the bottom 3rd of the draft.


They still trading Tatum for Anthony Davis in this scenario? I would really love this doomsday scenario for Boston.

Ignore knicks do not move Vonleh, Mudiay and Mario. They are all very tradebake contracts and can be good players off the bench for contenders. The reality is we aren�t going to resign any of them. I have to think you can get a 2nd rounder for any of them or a package of Mudiay and Vonleh can get a late first.

I think they would if they knew Kyrie was not going to leave this off-season.

Davis is a top 5 player right now and he's only 25 (for another month).

Davis and Kyrie make them competitive with anyone IMO.

If Kyrie is going to leave then I don't think it makes sense to include Tatum in a trade for Davis.

Maybe Davis staying put until the off-season actually helps Boston in this regard, they'll know Kyrie's decision first.
