Seen a few threads on top 5 all time giants and other similar such topics, I was wondering, what is your "fantasy" o-line since 2008 superbowl, basically anyone except McKenzie, Seubert, O'Hara, Snee and Diehl.
You can ignore injury history.
I would go
RT Locklear
Gutted when he got injured, looked steady
RG Pugh
Could slot him in anywhere, he was so versatile, don't feel he ever lived up to a 1st round draft pick though
C Jones
I liked his story, rooted for him since he signed from CFL)
LG Hernandez
Nice to see a young hog-mollie in there
LT Beatty
Thought he was gonna be a solid 2nd round pick, had a good season or two but seemed to lose all motivation
I am sure names will be suggested an I will change my top 5, but it gets the discussion going
And by a very wide margin.
Why not just start the list from 2013, when those guys were gone?
How about the tight end "talent"? Or the receiver talent outside of Beckham?
The 2015 roster was arguably worse than the 2017 Browns if you took away Eli and Beckham.
Newhouse was better than those who succeeded him.
I would have preferred Jerry at RG over anyone else they tried in 2018.
Quote:
The "best" OL combined over the last 6 years makes me want to puke. This is a good exercise in showing just how bad the talent has been for Eli to work with. Couple that with the running back talent he has had in that same time span (pre-Barkley) and it gets even uglier.

It often gets mentioned how many weapons Eli has had over the past few years, but when have they actually all been on the field together for any stretch of time?
Cruz and OBJ were never on the field for long together at their peaks.
OBJ has been injured for long stretches twice now in the past 2 years and in his first year missed the first four games.
Engram missed 5 games last year.
Shepard missed 5 games two years ago.
That's what I was thinking too. This is like "The Greatest Hits of Lawrence Welk" or something.
That line wins a Superbowl for sure. Barkley would have the first 3000 yard season in NFL history. I think being quite happy is an understatement.
Yes. Baas wasn't bad at all, he just was hardly ever 100%.
Actually, it's the same exact exercise.
And the flight attendant says how about this pamphlet on Famous Jewish Sports Legends...
Max Unger instead of Clint Sintim
David Wilson Over Cordly Glenn.
Either Ramzcyck or Cam Robinson Over Engram.
Reese and or Ross passed on guys early in his tenure that would have been much better that what he grabbed later. Beatty was handed the job and very mediocre. Unger and Ramzcyck huge part of the Saints line. Reese is a scout. Not a GM. His early success was a fools gold
