This is going to be a barn burner. It'll be on BTN at 8:30, EST. Two of the best programs in the country.
I think OSU gets out to an early lead at 125, 133, 141, and 149.
And then Murder's Row for PSU kicks in and the rally begins.
I can see this coming down to: (1) how well Rasheed can hang with Martin at 184 and (2) if Cassar can pile up points at HWT.
The ride out was big time after the last takedown.
What’s up?
Good year to give it to both.
Micic has been very good at 133 for Michigan.

Micic still has to deal with Suriano from Rutgers. Also, Ashnault from Rutgers may be in the conversation too.

Ashnault for the Hodge? Come on. Let’s see if he can even win the NCAAs first.
That DeSanto-Suriano match was strange. It was in Iowa and I think Suriano gave up three penalty points.
Curious to see that re-match...
Has Penn St. lost a dual since they entered the starting lineup? I think both were red shirts the last time PSU lost but I'm not 100% sure.

I said “may” be in the conversation. He smoked the previous #1 Kolodzik on Sunday, 10-2, and also beat Micah Jordan earlier this year at the Cliff Keen. His career is not as decorated as Nolf or Nickal (AAs yes but no national championships) but if he continues his current pace this year he’s in the conversation for this year’s award. May not win it, but will be near the top if he wins 149.

I think he’d have to hurdle, Joseph, Martin and Diakomihalis as well.
Yianni is proving no fluke from last year’s surprise win as a fresh. Having a great year.

Nick Lee?

Very impressive.

Nick Lee?
Yes, Lee. My bad.
Haven’t seen a Minnesota match this year. But I see he’s the #1 heavyweight and living up to his billing,

I’d hold off on the Hodge but after the Princeton HC stuck his foot in his mouth AA destroyed Kolodzik 10-2 he’s got a shot to take that diviosion for sure. Did have close match last night after his huge win.
He’s becoming enemy number 1 very quick with his cocky actions. No place in Wrestling for the shenanigans he’s doing on the mat.
Huge upset.

You guys made me think of Gable Steveson. Have you watched him this year? What a badass... lol. I have been following him since I watched him take down Derek White almost directly into a fall a couple of months ago. He is just... wow.

Yep he definitely is an arrogant mofo that's for sure. But I think he may be the best heavyweight I have ever seen.

I did see the Kolo match at the RAC. Didn’t know about any pre-match talk by the Princeton coach.
Just saw the score of Ashnault’s match last night. Very tight. Although Silva did give Verkleeren a tough match last week. And Verkleeren gave Micah Jordan all he could handle last night.
Based on what he's doing as a true freshman? Maybe not yet but not far off. He wrestles like a light weight, really good technique on his feet and riding, and he is strong and seems to have really great stamina. Really I am blown away by this kid.

I’ve watched some of his matches today. Steveson is the real deal. He did get manhandled by Coon at the US Open. Granted, Coon is Sasquatch.
Moves like a 184 pounder.

For sure, but it's crazy because he was only 17 when he wrestled Coon who is already 24 yo and a former 2x NCAA champ! No shame in that loss for sure. He is 25-0 and currently ranked #1 in NCAA at 285 as a freshman... that's just nuts to me... lol

Proncton HC said in an interview pre match that AA wouldn’t be able to score a point. That’s why after the match Anthony held up 10 fingers twice towards the Princeton Corner. Normally I’d not be for that, but major disrespect for no reason IMO. He’s going to AA again and has to be one of the favorites for that class at this point. Agree he’s probably got no shot at the Hodge but hats hardly a knock lol
