from the rotating restaurant on the Canadian side is outstanding. The prices weren't bad for lunch, considering the location and the food was OK. It's a good family activity.

Is amazing. There�s one on each side. You literally walk under the falls. You get soaked. It�s aweskme.

there are like 5 marriotts that all say niagara falls in the name.

One looks interesting called Niagara Falls Marriott Fallsview Hotel & Spa. Does that sound familiar to anyone?

So I can drive there easily (it�s only about 70 minutes) and have never stayed overnight. But I do know that the nicer hotels are in Canada. The Canadian side is more built up and made for tourists. Stay on that side if you can. There�s even a wax museum and Ripleys museum.

It also goes without saying that you HAVE to do the Maide of the Mist. I�m not sure about the Canadian side, but in the US you can buy a package that gets you Cave of the Winds, Maid and other attractions. It�s worth checking out. There�s also casinos on both sides.

For kids. Marine land for dolphins whales etc Niagara on the Lake is close by with great vineyards restaurants and cycling

but there is a Great Wolf Lodge with one of those massive waterparks that is pretty close. My kids were like 5 or 6 though when we took them so that is all they cared about. Wouldn't recommend staying there, but they have day passes for the park.

My information is pretty dated but I thought the US side was honky tonk and overpriced. But , it could have changed, I would just add that in your calculations, you should consider the strength of the US dollar relative to the Canadian dollar. A few years ago, we went to Canada and, for example, would charge $100 for dinner on the credit card. When we got the credit card bill,the cost was something like $65 US. There are some good deals here

our limited research suggests the Canada side is definitely better.

Jim, if the falls look like that when we get there I'm definitely not going over in a barrel.

Niagara on the Lake is a cool excursion away from the falls. Town of Lewiston on the NY side is a nice town that has an Artpark that has events and some cool restaurants. Check to see if anything is scheduled at the Artpark.

You can see the falls from your room plus the benefits like free breakfast and suites (mine had a jacuzzi tub).

American side is more state park like and the Canadian side is more glitzy. It�s worth stopping on the American side to see the falls from that point of view but you�ll spend most of your time on the Canadian side.

You can find reviews on the attractions anywhere. But something most people don�t take advantage of are all of the hiking trails and bike trails.

It was great. Walked down and had coffee every morning right along the river. Only caveat is that all the hotels toward the end are up a hill. 15 min walk at most but you have to be prepared to go up. Not super steep but steady

I would definitely recommend staying down the end rather than in the cheesy tourist section. There are a lot of steak houses. I ate an Zislamic restaurant. Great food but no alcohol

Niagara on the Lake is an awesome town.

stay on the Canadian side. I've stayed at the Hilton Fallsview. The location is great and the hotel is pretty good
