As it stands the consensus top 3-4 players in the draft are defensive lineman, which is a need position for -NYG.
In almost every draft, a top-3 guy falls to 6.
- 2018: the 6th was Quentin Nelson, who some felt was the top player along with Barkley and Chubb
- 2017: Jamal Adams, a consensus top-3 prospect, dropped to NYJ at 6.
- 2015: Jets landed Leonard Williams, considered by many as the best in that draft.
I expect Gettleman to do what he did last year: sit tight and take the best player on his board at 6. The good news is that it’s likely to be one of the absolute studs of the draft.
Only way that happens is if 3 qbs go top 5 and Bosa and Q Williams.
Giants fans need to see serious pass rush to feel the old ' exciting football feeling.'

Not necessarily. Maybe someone wants the best CB and takes Greedy Williams. Maybe someone wants the best OT prospect and takes Jonah Williams.

Arizona — Bosa
49ers — Q Williams
Jets — Greedy
Raiders — J Williams
Jags (trade) — Haskins
Giants — Allen
We can ride Eli for a few more years while upgrading huge holes on this team.

So that's a no on Q Williams, I'm pretty sure. It's either Bosa or Allen to SF if people feel they're the best edge rushers in this draft. The only exception I think is if the Niners chase some edge rushers in FA and maybe think Allen isn't quite as good as he's hyped to be.....
Q Williams would have to be the next Aaron Donald, or some crazy news comes out about Allen or Bosa to make them drop.
Cleveland didn't let Myles Garrett slip down to #2, and I'm not so sure the Niners want another year of 6 takeaways.
To get Q Williams and have him flop would be demoralizing to Lynch & Shanahan. Can't see them taking the risk even with their new baller DL coach.

I wasn’t trying to peg the exact player to team but show how it’s not far fetched to see a guy like Allen available at 6. Flip Williams and Bosa if it makes you feel better.
No one had Ward going 4 overall last year, and no one had Baker going 1 overall until the eve of the draft. It’s foolish to say player X won’t be there at this point in the process.
