I think this is a very sneaky strong draft for WR's? I don't see them discussed very much and I'm not talking just about Giants, but really i don't see much hype about these guys for any teams.
In fact if you look at the mock drafts on NFL.com, of the 4 mock drafts on there the highest selected WR's is Marquise Brown at the 15th pick. A 165 pound speedster.

This draft has every thing, tall guys, speed guys, slot guys, etc...
I'll start the discussion with my two favorites... N'Keal Harry - 6' 4" and 213 pounds, with Beckham's catch ability and run after the catch. And DK Metcalf a 6-foot-4, 220-plus pounder who reminds me of Josh Gordon. *He has been injured most his college career though.
I'm surprised these guys are not talked about as top 10 talent??

(please try to resist turning the thread into yet another discussion about how the Giants need a QB or RT or DE more, this isn't about who the Giants select at #6 it's intended to be about the WR's in this draft..Thanks in advance)

I would be shocked if they go in that direction with the first 2 rounds

I'm surprised to see Keesean Johnson as a 6th round pick. Also, I've heard good things about the Johnson from Buffalo but i haven't watched him.
They have Andy Isabella as a 4th rounder, i bet he goes why higher. Hunter Renfrow is another slot guy that would be good value there i think.
Hakeem Butler at 6'-5" is interesting as a 4th rounder.
*Riley Ridley is listed as a 3rd rounder
They have 8 guys listed as 1st or 2nd Rounders, I've watched 7 of the 8 and wouldn't argue if the draftniks told me they were all 1st rounders.
N'Keal, Metcalf, AJ, Hollywood, Hakeem, JJ, Deebo, Paris, Ridley, Harmon, Isabella, Ursa, Renfrow... plus more..
I highly doubt a player like Hakeem Butler lasts until the 4th round.

Yea I like the kid out of Iowa State. There were times during the season he took over games.
He's still gone be 5'7 with 29 inch arms and 8 inch hands.

He looked like he was playing at different speed at senior bowl.

Did not realize he was that small. I know he is listed at 5 10 but at first glance I figured he was around 5 9 which for what he brings to the table I think is enough.
Are you sure his hands are only 8 inches? If his hand measures close to 9 it shouldn't be a problem, from what I've read he has good hands and Antonio Brown has no issues with 9 inch hands. Smaller than that catching NFL level fast balls that aren't perfect spirals could prove difficult.
The only time I saw him play outside of senior bowl was against USF and he is the only reason the game was competitive.
I’ve been hawking Isabella for a few months.
McLaurin and Samuel were dynamite at the Senior Bowl. I think McLaurin and Campbell should go round two - latest. Supporting my point Haskins was playing with outstanding skill players.
Xavier Ubosi intrigues me as a later round prospect with upside. Big kid who helped revitalize the UAB football program. Saw him in their bowl game against Northen Illinois and he went nuts showcasing his big play ability.
Thing is, you just can't pencil in anything in the NFL. You can't simply look at a name and count on production. OBJ could easily miss a bunch of games. Engram could underperform (for whatever reason) for half of them again. He and/or Sheppard could regress. Etc.
Why surprised? They have a great #1. They have a solid #2, who's an awesome asset in the running game vis a vis his blocking. They have a solid pass catching specialist type of TE with WR deep speed and good RAC who's just beginning to tap his potential. They have a great pass catching RB and a 2nd RB or two (if Perkins gets healthy) who are both solid receivers out of the backfield. Heck, their FB Penny can catch. They need to re-sign one or two of their FA WRs, but whom among them is going to receive a huge offer? Lattimer - nope, can't stay in the field. Coleman- nope bust at WR to this point, mostly, certainly relative to his draft position. Shepard II, Fowler?
Yeah in a deep WR class they will find someone to nab in the fifth round that has upside, at least.
Right now I'm betting Emmanuel Hall out of Mizzou won't go in the first 4 rounds - he hasn't produced much in terms of quantity in college, missed a bunch of time as a true JR last year, and skipped out on the Senior bowl (apparently without offering any excuse or reason) where his buddy and teammate QB Lock was shining.
He's got as many or more red flags than Stephon Diggs did coming out, and he maybe a faster, quicker version of Diggs if someone screws his head on straight. Watch him blow up the combine...
But with all the other dreadful needs the giants have - pass rush, LBs, free safety, another corner, OL, OL, OL, why would people focus on a 3rd WR who would be the team's 5th receiving option?
