Didn't make this NGT because with Landon Collins contract expiring in a few weeks, if he sees a guy like Reid getting 7mil a season, he's going to ask for at least 10-12.
Reid was pretty poor for them. Sure, he had some rust, but he made very few impact plays and was a liability in coverage.
I thought their secondary looked a hell of a lot better with him in the lineup than it did without. They had serious serious issues back there which is the reason they picked him up to begin with.
that would be subjective. He joined them in the bye week and the first game he played was against the Giants, where they gave up over 300+ yards in the air and over 30 points.
Prior to that, they were in the top 10 for pass defense, but it was only 3 weeks in and one game was skewed by playing Dallas in the opener where they scored in single-digits.
Their pass defense by the stats was worse in the second half of the season, and they gave up 52 points to the Steelers. He only had 1 INT, but that's not really going to say one thing or another.
I don't like the position the Giants are in with Landon Collins. I would like him back, but not at the money he is going to seek.
I agree. Love the heart Collins plays with, but just not sure I want to see the Giants break the bank and have a chunk of their cap room allocated on a strong safety.
They are probably looking at a little more than 9 million per season for Collins. If they can't get him at that they can just Transition Tag Collins (9M) for this season. That sets their value for him.

Hard not to agree...

Giants are in a great place with Collins, just tag him and let him earn his big pay day.
