is good for the kids, I hope IF we land KD in the offseason and another big star that we can find a way to keep him. With that being said, lose lose lose
Mitch Rob was quite a find. And DJ is a great guy for him to learn from. They play similar games. I'd love to have DJ stick around after this year if we can make it work.
develop some consistency from 3....like lethal consistency, he would be such a nice asset off the bench once we get our 2 max guys and hopefully Zion/Morant. Having a 3 point assassin who can throw a ball fake and handle the ball and take it to the hoop is a rare commodity.

If the NBA redid the 2018 draft is Mitch Robinson a lottery pick? He has to be, right?

Not sure if he'd go that high, but in the 15-20 range, absolutely.
Outstanding pick considering where we got him - would have been a good pick regardless. He definitely brings something to this team and can be a part of the solution.
Probably but he is 26. Frank is young so I would hope Allen is at this point. But, yes, Frank has disappointed so far. My problem with Frank is simple, he plays slow. Is it a mental thing? Is he thinking too much that he isn't playing fast? There are times when he looks sluggish out there like he doesn't trust himself. There are other times when you see he is way faster/quicker than he seems because he has shown flashes of his AA.

Eh. In the NBA, I'd rather be horrible with the chance to get a high pick & have max $$$ than be a 7-8 seed with no $ going nowhere. The Knicks are in the latter. This summer is obviously pivotal. No sugarcoating it.
Does it matter in the draft order if the Knicks have the worst record as opposed to the 2nd worst or the 3rd worst? Do they all have the same chance of getting the top pick?
RE: this has to be the dumbest team on the planet Â
you are taugh the very first day of basketball do not leave the ball
Agreed about the stupidity, but in today's NBA there seems to be a lot of this. Avg bball IQ on D is awful. Not to say there aren't good defenders, but yeah - KA is a solid defender yet just did that? WTF?

The downside risk is different. IE much higher chance of having the 5th, 6th or 7th pick depending.
of course the Knicks first year in ages being in the running for #1 is the first year for this new rule giving them less chance than prior years
I can't root for an L but any W especially against the teams we're racing is huge given 3 teams have no more than 11 Ws and Chi has 13 atm. Even tho we'd have a better chance at #1 from the 4 or 5 than prior years, it would still be nice to have the best shot going in
And am I crazy or drunk enough to say that I'd rather have Barrett than Zion? I'm not sold on Zion. I think Barrett is the better NBA prospect. Zion is a freak playing in college, but does that translate to the pros?
Okayyyy.
Best part? Jordan celebrating on the bench.
Man, I hope they can somehow get their two max players then still figure a way to sign Jordan. Great teammate. Not a shabby rim defender still.

Smith scores on the fastbreak, takes him out...
Robjnson playing well takes him out..
Hezonja was playing well takes him out..
Vonleh and Knox allowed to shoot brick after brick

To NEW YORK CITY..
OK. let's overreact.
Imagine come next October, we got KD, AD, & Kyrie. Please call the medics because there's a good chance I'm going to faint.
He's also 6 years older.

His companies have always been based in new york...
His manager and agent is based in new york

Show me...that...
Doing actual tank moves seems a bit weak at this point.
Show us something...
Could be he becomes a glue player, a role player, of sorts, if and when.

and they get the 5th pick i quit as a knicks fan
The team with the worst record has a 48% chance of getting the 5. So....
48 percent chance to get 4th

Correct. Guaranteed not to pick 5 if you have the worst record

Incorrect. The top 4 picks are lottery now. You can have worst record and drop to 5.
But it's better than dropping to 6 or 7!! Huge loss tonight!!
