Ok, Let me get the preliminaries out of the way:
- Boomer hates the Giants
- Boomer is jealous of Eli
- Boomer is not connected that well in NFL circles
- Boomer has a track record of being wrong
- Boomer is a douch
Think that about covers the views of Boomer on this site, I m in the minority that pays attention to what he says........got it.
He believes Giants were proven right with the Barkley pick, even though he believes in last years qb class
He believes Haskins is everything those guys were and that the Giants will fall in love with him at the combine and pro day.
Believes much like Mayfield, this kid believes he can play in the NFL, is excited by the opportunity, and will not find the spotlight of New York to be too much.
His partner Gio added, if Giants could come out of this with Barkley and a quarterback, not bad.
Boomer though believe Giants will have to move up to get him.
The kid will need to learn the progressions of the pro game, but Eli will be a great experience for him.
I'll never understand mobility as a first priority, even though Haskins has plenty. He's not an athletic freak but he's a good athlete. His accuracy and ball placement is freakish though.
He sits behind Eli for a season and steps in for 12+ years.

but you have a 300 lb plus man coming down on him with all his weight it just seems like it's a shoulder injury waiting to happen.
That hit, which didn’t hurt him and would be a penalty in NFL (meaning no QB is supposed to take that hit) - was by a 295 lb DL Quinnen Williams who is projected to be at top of draft.
Thus proving he can take these types of hits in NFL.
One - he didn't hit him in a way that would separate his shoulder, the brunt of his weight fell on his helmet. The hits that do that tend to be when the qb falls with his shoulders perpendicular to the ground with weight falling on top. Two - a sample size of one (not that even is 1) doesn't prove anything.

he's batting the same average as most guys in his position. I don't care about the Eli/Giants/Jealous angle, doesn't mean much to me. I care about what he says about the QB's, their attributes, the process of being a rookie, etc. all of which he knows about more than any of us.
He loved Mayfield, he loved Darnold, and he loves Haskins. He's definitively correct on Mayfield and probably Darnold. I don't think he's far off on Haskins.
That's fine if you don't care about his angle but the fact is he does have a bias when it comes to the Giants/Eli and it makes it tough to take anything he says about them as being objective.
He can say he's objective all he wants but anyone who's listened to him enough knows that's not the case when it comes to the Giants/Eli.
I've heard him praise Eli just as much as attack him. Maybe some of you don't listen objectively.
Maybe you just haven't listened to him enough. His anti Eli bias is a running gag on his show even though he continues to insist he doesn't have one.
Eg, today when he started in on the Haskins thing his own board op dropped in one of his classic drops of a hammer being banged on a table with Boomer's voice saying Eli sucks played over it. Meaning here we go again with the Eli bashing, Everyone on the show got it and laughed except Boomer who went on his lame "NARP" call out of the guys in his show.

But looks slower than Stafford and Big Ben. If he's as quick as Big Ben, then that's something to talk about. But from what I've seen, it's painful. But then again, I'm shell shocked from watching Eli move in mud all these years.
Brilliant. Going to stop reading Sy's posts and stop going to other scouting websites, we got SHO'NUFFs eyes on the top prospects and that is all one needs.
Very funny, guy. At what point do I say MY observation is the ultimate analysis and my word is law?
Haskins is not an elite scrambler by any stretch but he's plenty more mobile than Eli.
So Mahomes isn't the real thing. Desaun Watson isn't the real thing. This is very faulty thinking.
I am not stating that I know better than you all, but I also don't make some of these ridiculous assertions you all do based on a few video clips, isolated games watched and group-think posts you all rely upon in portraying your views.
With that said though, we sure as shit need a new QB so maybe one of you blind squirrels will find a nut out there too...
This is some of the worst logic ever. Like in the history of mankind.
I’ve tried very hard to convince myself someone is worth the stretch, but, alas, no one is worth the investment at #6 this year. Every damn one of these guys has a part of their game that is a major question mark.
Trade down or wait until the second round to take the risk.
Ok, pro scout.
