NFT: Knicks Kadeem BB Allen improving

giantsFC : 2/12/2019 5:27 pm
was browsing NY sports articles and recognized the face in the thumb pic.

Didn't realize he has been playing this much and def improved from last year w the Celtics. Hope he can stick around. A heck of a defensive presence and shot blocker for a smaller player.

If only he wasn't 26 years old

Kind of crazy to be drafted last year and be so old. But ye has been playing well of late.
Fizdale apparently put him on a weight loss program
nygiants16 : 2/12/2019 5:44 pm : link
lost 25 pounds...
He's pretty good. Has a really good feel for getting to the rim

and takes good shots. And is pretty decent on defense too. He's better than burke for sure.
It'll be interesting to see how he develops over the rest of the

season. He could be a very good find.
Sounds

like he did it on his own.

"“In the beginning, 3-, 4-minute spurts, I’d be ready to come out of the game tired. Now I can go 8-, 9-minute spurts and still be out there playing hard. I don’t really think about it anymore,” Allen said. “It was an investment in myself and my body to make sure I get down on my weight. I cut out a lot of foods, got away from soda, got away from Gatorade."

To be clear, I wasn't trying to prove you "wrong". It just sounded like from Allen in the post game he realized he was out of shape and needed to do something about it. Even Fizdale seemed to give Allen (and the Gleague staff) the credit for how far he's come.

no problem at all, it does sound like he made the commitment himself
So
DanMetroMan : 2/13/2019 10:32 am : link
who returns from the 2019 roster? (Lets pretend there is no AD trade to be had)

Knox- Yes
Robinson- Yes
DSJ- Yes
Dotson- Probably
Frank- Probably
Trier- Probably
Kornet- Probably
Allen- Maybe

So there should be once again significant roster turnover even if they don't land a KD. The 1st rounder will be here and the Rockets 2nd rounder is likely an extreme longshot to stick even with a bad team. That picks is currently 51st overall. They have Ponds going 57, I'd take him if he were there. Also that late I'd roll the dice on Markus Howard. Obviously some random Eurostash works too.
The

Knicks 2nd rounder this year goes to Brooklyn, the Knicks 2nd rounder next year goes to Charlotte or Philadelphia and the Knicks get Charlotte's 2nd.

So for Knicks are exactly neutral in terms of picks in 2019+2020.

Knox, robinson, trier, dsj, dot, frank..all locks...

if they sign kd and another max they better find some shooters...

I think jenkins will get a shot
i also think
nygiants16 : 2/13/2019 10:52 am : link
deandre will be brought back
It probably sounds absurd to say on the surface
Ten Ton Hammer : 2/13/2019 10:53 am : link
of a 10 win team, but I think there are several players on this roster who absolutely belong on an NBA roster and would thrive being the supporting cast.
