1. Lebron wants to own a team. Mixed feelings on this. He sure as hell can ruin teams and franchises. But he will be popular and his prescensce continuing with the league will suck.
2. AD with a 1-9 effort. Good for him. His teammates should call him out now.
3. Joel Embiid owned again by Horford, and then calls out the officials. Weird.
4. Lakers lose to Atlanta. Would be awesome if they missed the playoffs.
There are good games in the Western conference just about every night this season, and the top of the East is just as competitive.
The best thing about the Sixers-Celtics game is the Celtics continue to play better without Kyrie. Kyrie is one of the more overrated players in the league...
But you’re crazy if you’d rather see the Warriors play the Kings or Clippers over the Lakers in the first round.

same result either way
Lakers would take down the Nuggets in the first round if they get that 2/7 matchup. But it’s looking extremely unlikely LA could get to the 7 spot, with the 8 spot being a toss up as well.

Why do we need to see Lebron in the playoffs? We will see him put up insane stats, his teammates do nothing, therefore his teammates get blamed. Walton gets fired. Lebron goes recruiting.
Lets just save the time and keep him out from the start.
I get why so many hate him, but it’s sad how hate can make some so delusional.

We dont hate his talents. Just the narrative when he loses.
teammates, coaches.

When he lost that didn’t deserve it?

LMAO. Name me a name who was blamed and didn’t deserve it.
So why isnt it Lebrons fault he didnt have enough "help". Even though he was surrounded by Kyrie (forced him out) and another all-star (Love) and forced him to change his game?

Yep, it’s like with Brady. People love to hate the greatest.

People dont hate lebron because he is great. Quite the opposite. The only debate about Lebrons greatness is if he is better than Jordan.
People hate Lebrons stranglehold on the teams and coaches he has and openly criticizes what he needs.
Celts have owned the 76ers lately. Horford really is in Embiid's mind. Joel struggles against him mightily.
Kyrie might be better in a vacuum and Tatum might be the future, but Horford is the MVP of that team. He will put up 13/7/3 statline so you’ll think he didn’t do much, but his mere presence on the court makes things easier for everyone else.
As Brown/Tatum get better, Horford is going to get worse so there’s a weird dynamic with their Championship window there.
Horford vs. Melo in terms of better career is an interesting question to me

Plenty hate him because he’s great. And in this day and age in the NBA he’s certainly not the only player that has a say in moves and personnel. You can even say Brady has some of that control in NE on a much smaller scale. It’s the price owners and coaches are willing to pay to have such great players. I personally find nothing wrong with it. Some of these guys are honestly smarter than their coaches and should have some say.
Pelinka and Magic deserve a lot of blame how they handled things and the roster they put together. What is a good move they made?

Lakers have drafted pretty well in the late 1st and 2nd round in recent years: getting Kuzma, Zubac, Hart, Wagner and Mikhailuk, for instance. Then again, Magic and Pelinka don't seem to value them much and have already traded away two of them. And who knows how much they're responsible for setting up the scouting system.
Exactly. This has been known for quite some tiem and I am sorry your friend had to experience it.
I never understood the sympathy people give Lebron. HE PICKS THE PEOPLE WHO HE WANTS TO PLAY WITH!!!
So when they lose, the narrative shoudlnt be that he didnt have enough help. Well no shit. Thats what happened when you let someone dictate personnel decisions.
The only sympathy Lebron deserved was the firs ttile loss. But after that, he controlled the organization and then blamed them for when he left. Not once, but twice....
Tough to compare wings with true Centers. I think MJ/LeBron are the hands down top 2 among non-Bigs with Magic/Bird/Kobe/Oscar/West (in that order) being the next in line. Scary to think that Curry and Durant will both probably be in that 2nd tier group.
But true Centers still have immense impact and were even more impactful before the 3pt line in the 80s. Russell/Kareem could easily be argued as better than LeBron and MJ. Wilt has an argument too if he wasn’t such a stat hog.
And even if you think LeBron is better than Duncan, fact is that Duncan’s Rim protection was a key reason why LeBron lost two of his Finals. And Hakeem/Shaq might be argued as better than Duncan too.
LeBrons my 2/3 with Kareem after MJ in my opinion. But saying he’s Top 5 isn’t some insult. I do think the “Kobe’s better” movement we’ve seen recently is nonsense.

Well though out reply on your part.
I have to admit that I am guilty of dismissing basketball from eras prior to let's say 1980 because the skill level was so inferior.

That's an interesting subplot to this season and offseason.

They all shot like crap - Reddick and Harris especially. If they shot 50% it's a very different game...
