Bought a condo, and will be removing carpet and replacing with ??

Bamboo or Laminate ?? Do you guys have any pros and cons on each?

We found a bamboo that we like but it looks thin. We’ve used laminate in our old house and it was 12mm thick and didn’t sound “tinny” for lack of a better word. Will the bamboo sound tinny with the proper underlayment??
Any suggestions??
I would

make sure the condo Association allows it. because it will be a lot louder for the people downstairs.
Bamboo floors are great

all the ones ive seen have been awesome and apparently they wear well. I really wouldn't consider laminate at all but that's just me, I'd rather keep the carpet instead.

What’s your experience with the sound when walking on bamboo??
Bamboo is going...

...to feel closer to a hardwood floor. As for sound I wouldn't really worry about it unless you plan on walking around in heeled or hard toed shoes all day. If it's a floating/click-n-lock install then you can use a padding underneath to deaden it some but the construct of the floor system in the building can lend a lot to the overall noise level and there's not much you can do about that.

We had a laminate

floor installed in our kitchen. It looked good but we didn't like the feel of it. Thought it was kind of "bouncy". Long story short our dishwasher broke a seal and flooded the kitchen. We used the insurance money and replaced it with hardwood and have been much happier with appearance, feel and durability.
Vinyl Luxury Planks is another option to look at.

We still haven't decided which route to go yet but initially our thought process was hardwood only. We got a few recommendations for LVP and have been pleasantly surprised. Fully waterproof, pretty low maintenance. Stick to the stone core ones with a minimum of 20ml wear layer.

Flooret is a good brand from my research and you can buy full size samples. 40ml wear layer on them.
