Eric had characterized The Giants' WR corp as two very talented smaller WR's, and a band of "misfit toys."
Metcalf's stats are underwhelming. He lacks quickness, and his long speed is questionable. He's a long-strider. But he's big, (6'4"/230) has excellent hands and wins contested catches.
Can he make it in the NFL? Can he get separation? Be anything but a 2nd option possession receiver?
The Giants have lacked a complimentary larger WR for a while.
We all know the Giants many other needs, but this is also one of them. Too bad there are so many others.

Sure. He has tools to work with...it will come down to his work ethic, desire, coachability. Not to mention his medicals...

I think it's fair to say this Ole Miss WR is on a way different level than that Cal-Poly WR was ever on.
Wait until the combine. He is going to be one of the physical freaks. He will have good numbers/times. Want to see him run more routes and go through the drills.
I wonder what Sy would say about him.
It comes natural to him and he does it in a way that doesn’t cause penalties, except against the defender. I don’t know about his midfield effectiveness but the guy is a weapon in the endzone.

How do you make that comp. totally different players. Yards after catch. Renfrow didn’t show you that in college. He’s a pure possession wr. In today nfl I don’t see him sticking. I could be wrong.

The way he moves and runs routes.
