There are more than a couple decent RB prospects entering the 2019 draft, and I too find guys like Jacobs and Singletary to be excellent prospects. But I think when all the dust settles, Harris may be one of the best, if not the most productive RB to come out of this draft.
I know the he's declined in popularity among some pundits. And after Trent Richardson, Alabama RB's are highly suspect. But when I watch him play, I'm strongly reminded of Frank Gore. A lot of folks like to automatically make these comparisons, but I don't. He just really reminds me of too many of Gore's attributes.
Like Gore, Harris is a solidly built no-nonsense north and south runner with excellent vision and decent power who's just slippery and fast enough to make tacklers miss, and who runs with bad intentions.
Gore went in the 3rd round. I don't know if Harris will last that long, but barring any unknown red-flags, I believe some team will wind up with a solid if not spectacular NFL RB.

Perkins is also returning this season. He flashed as a rookie, I wonder if he can contribute in this offense a little more.
Also, don't sleep on his backfield mate Josh Jacobs - who may present better value a little later on in the draft.
Harris is a great, great kid though and a born leader. Whoever gets him will get a really solid RB.
Then they have (I think) 3 picks in the 4th and 2 in the 5th. Once they get to RD-4 I want BPA, so at that point, all positions except K/P are on the table.
Gallman is an absolutely perfect complement to Barkley, imo
I agree that he's likely not in the Giants future, as there's too much already invested in RB's to justify spending that high a pick. Perhaps, too bad, as I've found RB's like this can help a team sew up games.

Trust me, everyone is very aware of Jacobs. I expect him to be the first back off the board. And there is a very good chance he goes first round.
Interested to see just how fast his is...
While not as thickly built, or nearly as talented, I think Ryquell Armstead out of Temple shares some of the characteristics I attributed to Harris. He may well be an UDFA, and if so, I'd be interested to see the Giants bring him into camp to see if he can play in the NFL.

Dame isn't going to intersect with a point in the draft when we can afford to take him.

I don't think everyone here is aware of Josh Jacobs, actually. You might be the only guy here I've seen even mention him at all.

And I really liked what I saw from Harris, but we cant justify taking him where we would need to take him.

Nothing against either Perkins or Gallman, but in this offense people other than Beckham and Barkley (and to some extent Engram and the #2 WR) should be carrying the ball only enough to keep D's honest or to give Barkley a breather.
I didn't even realize so many pundits had Jacobs near or at the top of their lists. There were a couple I looked at back in December that barely mentioned him.
I think Jacobs will be a fantastic pro - I think some Kamara comps would be apt for him. So, I'm not so surprised to see him getting love - but it also seems like the RB class this year is kind of weak in general. I'm not a huge Bryce Love guy.
I think both Bama RB's will do really well in the pros, though.
Then Trey Sanders will be next up. :)
