Listening to Colin Cowherd he just stated that Brady has agreed to take a pay cut for next year
He also stated that it is (8) years in a row , since 2010, that Brady has been paid market rate
This is why the Patriots win
Their best player is willing to take less so that the Patriots can field a better team
Is there another football player of Brady’s stature who takes less than they are worth?

paid like a Top tier QB
you must've forgotten what a bottom tier QB looks like. (Hint: it's not Eli)
I've surely forgotten...what, with all the success Eli has had in the last 7 years. Must be tough on other teams looking up at us.
Offshore? He's a major funder of the TB12 scam and the quack trainer who Belichick kicks out of Patriots HQ and blamed for some of Gronk's injury issues.
The reality is, this is uncharted territory for the league to have a player so locked into a team and able to create his own side business that basically circumvents the cap. Less than 1% of the top of 1% of the NFL players would ever be in position to do this.
Got ugly fast.
Eli never had a side business

He's pretty clearly able to do this because he's still got money flowing in through other channels. He's already set for life and is in a very unique situation.
People see this stuff and then just expect every guy in the league to do it for the sake of his team. It's not a fair expectation.
Well I get this. If I am the head of the Players Union, I'd be livid. It hurts all the other player's leverage.
The Facts don't support this argument. As it stands, QBs continue to set record contract deals with unproven types like Jimmy G approaching $30 mil/year.
I actually argue the passing rules have gotten so ridiculous that QBs are way overpaid to what is "fair" versus other positions on the field. Not only the rules, but the injury protections put in place - one reason OL and RBs can't get paid is because more often than not they can't give you 16 healthy games in a year.
How is it good for the game that one position routinely eats up 20% of your salary cap while other guys struggle to have a 7-8 year career at a few million per year?
Well for one, it helps create parody throughout the league. So Brady not getting paid market value for being the Greatest of ALl Time is really a sham. If he were paid the right way, I bet you the dynasty doesn't exist. BB uses it to peg all FA's against. You want to come here, you need to take an undervalue contract. I have the GOAT QB, and he takes a massively under paid contract. It's just cheating the system. All because Kraft, his "CO-Owner" can give him as much money as he wants through his side business.
Damn, unfortunate typo in that first sentence. :)

just got a huge investment from the Patriots, I am sure.
Exactly. TB12 just got some additional "seed" money to do some "research". Maybe they can hire sxcda for their R&D department. That dude knows his shit.
Winner winner!
This does many things, it keeps Brady attached to the team for long after his playing days. It's great from a marketing standpoint, that the GOAT is still with the team. When they experience some lean times. They will still have Brady doing press conferences as the face of the team.
Win Win for the Pats
When I went to Gillett a few years back, there definitely was a TB12 store in "Patriot Place"
No need to go offshore, they just go next door:

Don't you think if Brady was getting funding from Kraft for TB12 to offset his "pay cuts" at a minimum the Jets, Bills and Dolphins would be all over the league to investigate it?
Don't you think other NFL teams would be on their highly paid players to set up side business in a similar way so they too could take advantage of circumventing the salary cap?
Don't you think at least one team would file some kind of complaint that at least would warrant an investigation?
Or are the BBI posters who know about this TB12 skimming operation just that much smarter than every NFL franchise who just shrugs and says that Tom Brady is a swell guy.
And if somehow by some stroke of I guess luck, Brady and the Pats are getting away with this then shame the fuck on the Giants and Eli for not starting the EM10 nutrition company two or three years ago, so the Giants can shave off 5 - 10M off the cap and get an OL or a DL.

He owes it to himself and his family to maximize his income while he can. NFL careers are short lived.
Eli's played 15 years and made $235 million thus far in his career. He has every right to get paid whatever the Giants are willing to pay him, but I don't think he's the best example of the "life is short in the NFL gotta make money while you can" argument.
LOL I was thinking the same thing. This argument makes sense when you consider the average career in the NFL is like 3 years and average salary is a couple mill per year. Then yeah I understand you gotta make every dollar you can because it has to last you and your family the rest of your life. Even the best players only get 1 big pay day in their careers and it can all end with injury in an instant. But Eli Manning? C'mon now.

Not to mention the IRS would be interested in such activity.

unique relationship? you don't say!
False.
