NFT: NBA News: Crooked official vs. Biggest Babies in NBA collide

dep026 : 2/22/2019 7:43 am
And the crooked official won. Scott Foster, who made more money off Tim Donaghy’s games and Lebrons personal referee, got under Harden and CO3 skin last night to the point where they publicly demanded to the press that he is crooked and shouldn’t do another Rockets game ever. I love. These three are meant for each other.

Harden, who gets more absurd calls than any other player in the game, fouled out and so did CP3. So naturally it wasnt their fault they blew a 19 point lead and Harden went 2-10 from downtow and 8 turnovers. The focus of course has to be somewhere else....

Two of the biggest playoff chokers should not make any demands who does their games and if I’m Silver - I would make sure he has their very first playoff game. No way in HELL a player should make these demands. But silver, ye of little backbone with succumb to them.

But at least for a night I got a good laugh.
NBA games have been fixed for a long time

After Lakers vs Kings game 6 in 2002. You would have to be a complete fool to believe Stern's one rogue referee theory.
Foster is a terrible

official, probably the worst in the league.
That Lakers-Kings..

game actually drove me from watching the NBA for several years.

I still can't believe that an immediate inquiry wasn't made in that game. The Lakers had 21 of their 31 points in the 4th quarter from free throws and shot 25 FT's just in the 4th.

Sacramento shot 25 FT's all game long.

Completely fixed.

Donaghy, a known crook obviously, said that Kings Lakers series was fixed. I don't doubt it.
I’m not a fan of any player superstar or not
Earl the goat : 2/22/2019 9:33 am : link
That constantly cries or complains constantly to the refs

Chris Paul is the biggest cry baby of them all
Wants superstar treatment and just like Melo what has he done that merits superstar status. Has never won and is always injured
Another wannabe HOF who I feel doesn’t deserve to be there
game 7 of Suns vs. Sonics in 93
Enzo : 2/22/2019 9:34 am : link
was another game that seemingly wasn't on the level. The Suns attempted 64 FREE THROWS in that game.
Donaghy was an extreme

and I said this b4 but I was at a basketball camp in Albany NY in the 90s where now retired NBA ref great Dick Bavetta word for word said "people don't come to see MJ foul out. They come to see him score 50. And we're a big part of making that happen." That among a bunch of other egotistical biased nonsense. As a youngster I couldn't believe he didn't at least just lie about being objective...

The Donaghy stuff, or Bron going 4 games without a foul in MIA, or Harden among many others...to me is just more of the same nonsense. I guess it's fair enough they don't hide it. Star calls, 6 steps and no travels, blatant baises to players / teams. NBA baby
I was at my..

son's basketball camp for the opening announcements and they had one of the NBA refs speaking and he said something similar. That the stars have "earned" the benefit of the doubt.

Why not just fully admit that there is rampant favortism and bias, because that's exactly what that statement implies.
It's what the NBA wants...

it's not the NFL, where they understand that a perennial winner like the Patriots is bad for their business model. To have LeBron, Durant, Harden and that caliber of player spend the maximum amount of time on the air serves the league better than parity.
I'm ok
Enzo : 2/22/2019 9:51 am : link
with officials looking the other way on ticky tack fouls that the star might be committing. As long as it's not a hack at the rim or something like that. But giving stars a ridiculous amount of free throw attempts is something different and is totally ridiculous.

The problem with the players is that they dont want the ticky tack fouls called on them but they want them every time they miss a shot.

They cant have it both ways. I think we all want to see the super stars play and not ride the bench. But we also dont want them on the foul line 20 times a game because of fouls that they initiate.

This actually reminds me of an infamous quote years ago by ACC supervisor of officials John Clougherty where he claimed that the huge disparity in fouls for and against Carolina are because UNC players just never foul much. Has nothing to do with favoring them, y'see, they just don't foul.
