but rub and tugs (and prostitution) should be legal. Why shouldn't someone be allowed to end a full body massage with an orgasm?
It's like marijuana. Who is being harmed? It's the illegality of it that leads to black market and exploitative conditions.
Also, he's nearly 80 years old and a billionaire. I doubt any young woman that touches his dick is doing it without thinking of the benefits that come with it.

If this case involves trafficking then it is a big deal. Traffickers are scum
It's not human trafficking in the way that Jeffrey Epstein arranged to bring in underage girls from other countries for the purposes of sex.
It's trafficking in the way that all massage parlors that offer happy endings deal in trafficking. Kraft had nothing to do with that part of it. He just showed up for a massage and put a little extra money on the dresser.
most of these women have been trafficked and subjected to horror and exploitation. It's not often a career choice made with free will. When you partake, you are directly supporting its continued existence.

The problem is with the human trafficking aspect of it. A lot of these women in those who establishments arent doing this because they want to.
people involved were lured into job with promise of legitimate employment. once there, could not leave. could not speak English.
Vast majority of women involved in it got there through sex abuse, substance abuse, mental illness. so they are not, per se, willing participants - big difference between that and someone voluntarily lighting up a joint.

drug dealers are scum. But a guy who buys a small amount from some dude on a street corner is not usually said to be involved in drug trafficking.
Using the logic being applied on this thread, then you are right. Soliciting a happy ending supports trafficking. Buying recreational marijuana anywhere that it is not legal supports drug cartels and all of their associated crimes.

the horrors of human trafficking. I've volunteered for clinics that help sex workers who were trapped. It's a brutal life for them. As the article purports, they are offered the promise of America and instead become like indentured servants. They can be abused, they are trapped.
But not every person that frequents these places know what goes on behind the scenes. They only know that there are massage parlors where they can pay a few extra bucks and get a happy ending.
I just think the act itself should be legal.
Also, while there is a world of difference between forced to give a hand job and work on someone's hands and feet, there was a massive NY Times expose on nail salons throughout the country and how its model is sustained on a similar concept of human trafficking where workers are brought to the country on false promises, and then are trapped not knowing the language and often abused. Yet, most people don't wrestle with their morals over whether to get a manicure or pedicure. Many don't even know the struggles those workers face. They just show up for their treatment.

Patriots owner Robert Kraft being charged with soliciting prostitution related to what FL police say is a massage parlor where women - who were told they were coming to US for legit jobs - were in fact held as virtual prisoners/sex workers.
Problem is poor and damaged people will always end up being the feeders for that line of work. Legalization would just be institutionalizing them being taken advantage of.
Women, many of them from China, lived at the spa and were not allowed
have to think that if it was legal and above-board the trafficking would be less. I am aware that there have been trafficking busts in all sorts of labor types -- nail salons busted where the owners are holding the ID's of workers and threatening them with turning them in to authorities if they don't work certain hours for certain rates, etc. But I have to think that it's easier to traffic in massages like this since the provider has reason to think that they would be put in jail no matter what crime they were reporting once they identified as a sex worker.
know that $59 is an out-of-whack (pardon the pun) price??? Who knew.. we have a bunch of tuggers/tugees in the crowd?
My thoughts exactly. I am not aware the current price structure, or what it takes to get a classy whore, and I don't want to associate with anyone that knows the market well.
a good or bad price for a handjob - that's irrelevant, it's the fact that Kraft is worth $6B and can't spring for a high end call girl/dude in the privacy of his own home instead going to a strip mall in florida and pays $59.
if saving $$$ is the goal...why doesn't he just sit on his hand, get a free "stranger" tug?
And do it himself?! He's still a billionaire...
This reminds me of the story of the woman with an MBA and millions in the bank who competes with the homeless in NYC for soda can deposits for some reason.
should be devoting all their resources to stop the predators who traffic in these women, trap them, abuse them, threaten them, and force them into work against their will (for all industries, but specifically sex work). Those people are the true villains of the story-- not Bob Kraft or whatever other "bigger names" that come out, even if that's what makes this sensational news.
Next, society should start legalizing and regulating the industry so that consenting adults can operate freely.
Well atleast he wasn't banging the neighbors wife!

I've never paid for one either, but just judging by the current rate of inflation I don't think I want to meet the girl who gets paid under sixty bucks for something like that. And I'm no billionaire.
think of Hugh Grant. Plus Spitzer got nailed in a high class operation. May have thought this place was less likely to draw scrutiny from police or press.

$59 is just for the massage. Additional services are extra. At least that what a friend told me.
vet their clients and keep records. Maybe Kraft uses that also, or maybe he doesn't want the paper trail.
For a quick rub and tug, the massage parlor is quick and anonymous-- at least until it gets busted.
I would say for most it's quick and anonymous. For a recognizable public figure, it's anything but.
I'd expect the high end escorts would work through a proxy for verification of someone that public and wouldn't have to retain any records for them. That's what these guys are paying for.
Or to quote the world's foremost expert in these matters, Charlie Sheen - 'you don't pay them for the sex, you pay them to go away after'.
this isn't even the worse news of the day for Kraft
non-football fans probably barely heard of the guy before today. Lots of movie stars, athletes, politicians, even business men are bigger names or could be considered to be bigger names by a source.
RE: RE: RE: this isn't even the worse news of the day for Kraft
Kraft-Heinz is down over 25% due to poor earnings/guidance.
Nope for poor accounting practices... they could be cooking the books
Robert Kraft has nothing to do with Kraft Foods
LOL he owns a holding company
I suppose he could have investments in Mondelez (Kraft Foods), but there is no connection between Robert Kraft and Kraft Foods other than coincidentally having the same last name as the guy who founded Kraft Foods.
Why the hell does any law enforcement agency give a crap whether a man (or woman) pays for sex? We've come off the obsession with marijuana. Let's do the same with prostitution

I dont really think you can correlate the two. While I agree prostitution should be legal, marijuana actually had/has the benefit of medicinal purposes as an argument for legalization.

One reason it that it often leads to horrid abuse of women.
This is a small description about this case, which prompted your comment:
Quote:
The probe that led to prostitution charges against New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft targeted five South Florida massage parlors where the hookers lived like slaves and serviced an average of eight clients a day, according to authorities.
If you do the math, that is about 1,500 men a year, with no days off, Martin County Sheriff William Snyder said.
Snyder said the women also had to endure grueling living conditions as part of their employment, according to a report by WPTV.
They were cooking on the back steps of the business, he said.
These women were sleeping in massage parlors, on the massage tables and had no access to transportation.
Why the hell does any law enforcement agency give a crap whether a man (or woman) pays for sex? We've come off the obsession with marijuana. Let's do the same with prostitution
The prostitutes were from China, lived there, and weren't allowed to leave. That sounds a tad bit worse. Police aren't going to bother with a sting operation on the local rub and tug for nothing.
to be somebody or other gotta realize it could be somebody they really like, right?
Possibly, but I'm of the opinion that we shouldn't sensationalize famous people so if it ends up being a player a like it won't bother me one bit. People care way too much about celebrities.

11:29 AM PT -- Investigators say they have videos of the men who paid for sex at the Asian massage parlor that Robert Kraft allegedly used ... and the footage is graphic.
According to police documents obtained by TMZ Sports, officials were able to get a covert surveillance camera inside the Orchids of Asia Day Spa in Jupiter, Florida to record illicit activity.
Cops list a variety of sex acts performed on 26 men who entered the business -- one of whom cops say is Robert Kraft. Kraft is not identified by name in the police documents.
The police documents describe the surveillance video in graphic detail -- noting a pattern of behavior from the alleged Johns.
The men would enter the spa and pay up front (some used cash, others used credit cards) before being escorted back into a private massage room.
In almost every case, an Asian woman would tend to the client -- sometimes two women -- and perform sex acts using their hands and mouths.
It does not appear any of the suspects engaged in vaginal intercourse.
Cops say the surveillance videos capture every single detail of the encounters -- including ejaculation and subsequent cleanup.
Yeh no fucking shit, make something illegal, turn everyone into criminals, and you'll attract some unsavory people. Countries where it is legal have a small percentage of the problems compared to the places that criminalize it.

Can't speak for Bangkok, but when I was in Phukett it is normalized and the police don't fuck around with the mistreatment of sex workers there. Prositution is actually illegal there, but it is only enforced for underage workers.

Agreed. Headline grabbing is the purpose of announcing the Johns. The root cause is still there.
I never realized this, but the Super Bowl has been considered/is a high trafficking event. Since Kraft has been the owner, the Patriots have been to 10.

And do it himself?! He's still a billionaire...
This reminds me of the story of the woman with an MBA and millions in the bank who competes with the homeless in NYC for soda can deposits for some reason.
What we always suspected - ( New Window )
Lol.
The UN and other international groups have done research which suggests differently - trafficking increases in countries with legal prostitution.

I've never paid for one either, but just judging by the current rate of inflation I don't think I want to meet the girl who gets paid under sixty bucks for something like that. And I'm no billionaire.

a good or bad price for a handjob - that's irrelevant, it's the fact that Kraft is worth $6B and can't spring for a high end call girl/dude in the privacy of his own home instead going to a strip mall in florida and pays $59.

$59 is just for the massage. Additional services are extra. At least that what a friend told me.

He isn't, but I listen to the fan and Kraft will be made fun of for a few days. If its Mike, its going to go on for months.

More interesting than the name will be why multiple rich, famous people are going to the same seedy massage parlor in Jupiter, FL?
Unless of course it is someone who was there with Kraft...which seems like a really creepy thing to do with anyone else.

Jupiter is littered with filthy rich old men from the North East.
Less than a half an hour from Mar A Lago to Jupiter.
Could this be the place where Kraft cleans the side money for TB12?

I think this is an even worse look for him than having a high end escort going public or trying to escort him.
He's not married, so if he saw escorts who cares? This though, makes him look pretty lame to me.

I suppose he could have investments in Mondelez (Kraft Foods), but there is no connection between Robert Kraft and Kraft Foods other than coincidentally having the same last name as the guy who founded Kraft Foods.
He's down in Miami Beach. Why would he go up to Jupiter for a handy?
I dont really think you can correlate the two. While I agree prostitution should be legal, marijuana actually had/has the benefit of medicinal purposes as an argument for legalization.
One reason it that it often leads to horrid abuse of women.
This is a small description about this case, which prompted your comment:
If you do the math, that is about 1,500 men a year, with no days off, Martin County Sheriff William Snyder said.
Snyder said the women also had to endure grueling living conditions as part of their employment, according to a report by WPTV.
They were cooking on the back steps of the business, he said.
These women were sleeping in massage parlors, on the massage tables and had no access to transportation.

The prostitutes were from China, lived there, and weren't allowed to leave. That sounds a tad bit worse. Police aren't going to bother with a sting operation on the local rub and tug for nothing.
Possibly, but I'm of the opinion that we shouldn't sensationalize famous people so if it ends up being a player a like it won't bother me one bit. People care way too much about celebrities.

The probe that led to prostitution charges against New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft targeted five South Florida massage parlors where the hookers lived like slaves and serviced an average of eight clients a day, according to authorities.

And this is the kind of shit that happens when you make something like this illegal and people have to go to the "black market" to get the service that they are looking for. Legalize it and regulate it and this is less likely to happen.

Can't speak for Bangkok, but when I was in Phukett it is normalized and the police don't fuck around with the mistreatment of sex workers there. Prositution is actually illegal there, but it is only enforced for underage workers.

I dont really think you can correlate the two. While I agree prostitution should be legal, marijuana actually had/has the benefit of medicinal purposes as an argument for legalization.
Legal prostitution could potentially have "therapeutic" purposes as well.

Are you talking about Federally legal? Because it is already legal in some counties in Nevada. I am surprised more states didn't take the plunge like they did with Pot.
Great point.
Next, society should start legalizing and regulating the industry so that consenting adults can operate freely.
Agreed. Headline grabbing is the purpose of announcing the Johns. The root cause is still there.
Im not saying there is any correlation, but its an interesting thought nonetheless.
You mean someone like, say, Jeffrey Epstein?
Completely agree.
I've been off line since I mad that post, and haven't read thru this thread, but I want to note that I have not seen or heard any further reporting on the establishments being gay. With no further reporting or corroboration, that would strongly argue for that information being false.
