Tyree Jackson vs. Josh Allen (QB)

Capt. Don : 3/2/2019 4:09 pm
Being a western New York guy I watched Tyree Jackson a handful of times and it struck me that his strengths and weaknesses seem to be pretty similar to Josh Allen.

Huge frame, huge arm, inconsistent accuracy, very athletic, not top tier competition.

Jackson was more productive but he also had a much better receivers.

Am I off here? Why was Allen viewed as a top 10 pick and Jackson a 2nd-3rd rounder?
IMO, the folks

that saw Josh Allen as a top 10 pick were sorely mistaken.
Similar in that they have huge arms

And don't always know where it's going...but Jackson is light years behind him

Yes. He is a 4th/5th, Davis Webb caliber guy

6'7" 250lbs ran a 4.59. Seems ok to me.
Jackson is a good athlete in space

But he really lumbers in short spaces. Long limbs and stiff, lacks coordination.

Just like those that defend Haskins, straight line speed isn't everything.
