He's the third best player in the Draft, IMO. Lott winner, Bednarik winner, Nagurski winner, Jack Lambert winner. A well-rounded outside guy who can consistently pressure the QB while dropping back in coverage when necessary. His long limbs, athleticism and rare bending ability will make him a perennial double digit sack guy in the NFL.
But after today, I have no idea how he'll be taken before 6. Aside from Haskins and Kyler (who some are saying is a lock to go #1 overall), you have the two best players in the Draft, IMO, in Quinnen Williams and Nick Bosa, you have Rashan Gary is an absolute athletic freak, and you have Montez Sweat who produced in the SEC and just destroyed the Combine, running the fastest 40 time by a D-Lineman in NFL Combine history. In addition, a team could easily fall in love with someone like DK Metcalf, who is also an athletic marvel, as well as Jonah Williams, who is as technically sound as they come. And then you have guys like Ed Oliver Jr., who has the potential to be another Aaron Donald, and Devin White who could be the next great MLB.
In case you didn't read that, here are the guys who very well may go ahead of Allen:
Quinnen
Bosa
Sweat
Oliver
Metcalf
Gary
Kyler
Haskins
White
And maybe even Brian Burns, who had an impressive Combine himself and who I actually like more than Sweat.
If Allen drops into our lap, it would be a godsend. For a team starved for sacks, Allen will be one of the top ER in the NFL for years to come.
How come NOBODY ever mentions Bush? He might be better than White.
Well, I'm going off of that "Gruden kept raving about him" thread
Why is this a weak WR class? I think it is a really good class. It doesn't have the top end talent but overall it is a really good group.
I would LOVE to see these two players "draft status" soar and push better players down to the Giants.

Based purely on projection. He's a freaky H/W/S specimen and has real potential to be a #1 WR based on his measurables alone. In a fairly weak WR draft I think he's a lock to go top-15. I can't see how a team like the Bills or Jets (if/when they trade down) pass on him when they need to provide their young QBs with weapons.

Metcalf is the only guy who deserves to go top-20.
N'Keal Harry lacks top-end speed, but has everything else you want.
Hakeem Butler has potential, but is very raw. He also drops a lot of passes to my liking.
Hollywood Brown is a game breaker, but lacks size.
JJ Arcega-Whiteside also has potential, but didn't really show much at Stanford, other than he's a RZ threat and is excellent at 50-50 balls.
Antoine Wesley is another one who has major potential, but is also very raw, especially coming from Kingsbury's implied offense.
AJ Brown reminds me of Hakeem Nicks. Possession WR.
It's not top-heavy though. You have some guys with potential to be solid starters, but the only one who has legit #1, gamebreaking upside is DK Metcalf.
And so forth. Big D year.
Which is why we need another 2 or the 3.
For your ILB.
Plenty of help in the trenches so my guess would be
an OT or Center/Guard type in round two BPA .
Jets look to be trading down I though Allen made sense for them .but wtf do I know .
ER/DL - polite, sweat, burns, allen, bosa, oliver, williams
QB - haskins, murray
WR - metcalf
OT - ford, taylor (i'm not a fan of williams)
LB - white
That said, a trade down to 9 or 10 would still net one of these stud front 7 prospects. That plus some extra picks would be awfully tempting.

Trade down goes against DG and the Giants history. I don't see it as a real possibility.
A word of caution. Don't fall in the trap of over-weighting the combine on the evaluations of these guys. Allen has some great tape out there. And game tape is 75% of the equation.
If we could trade Vernon and our 2nd round pick to AZ for Rosen and their 4th round pick and some how get Josh Allen at pick 6, I would be very happy.
So stop drooling we won't have a chance at this guy if we stand pat on Draft day.

You're on, my man

People say shit like this every year and every year guys slip.
Greedy Williams could go top 5. Or a team could reach for a WR or OT.
It’s very plausible Allen is available at 6 if two QBs go in front.
How come NOBODY ever mentions Bush? He might be better than White.
Robbie, what about Rashan Gary? I think he could really be dominant at the next level if he puts it all together. A DL of Hill - Tomlinson - Gary would be awesome.
I agree about Bush too (and White) but I like the idea of going DL more. A strong DL can mask a mediocre LB corps. A weak DL can make talented LBs look like crap.
