Hate both WRs they signed, but 3 OL + solid 2-way TE + vet RB is a good way to help a young QB develop. From that perspective, I think they've done better than the Jets.

The harm is that it pushes more dead money into future years.
The falcons will now have to spread the money out the 7 million over the remainder of his contract increasing his cap number each year.

The Pats do it every year. They convert $20M of Tom Brady's secret additional annual salary into TB12 stock and bonuses.
