OTC predicts it could be a 3d rounder, but in order to get it, they have to lose more players than they sign. The problem is, they have very few free agents that any team is going to want. Gettleman may be waiting out the market to see how many of the Giants' free agents are signed. The 3d rounder could be worth more than any player he's targeting.
Both to some extent, I believe.
Remmers is also in that category. Not that I want him but all things being equal, that is a consideration.

Depends on the cost, but if you can get Remmers for $4-6M per on a 1-2 year deal he's certainly an upgrade over Wheeler and at least gives you a short term stopgap at RT.
His prime was probably two years ago but he has to be better than Kareem Martin.

Gipson would be a very nice fit, depending on the $$
Trading is great, drafting really well even better. I just don't see anyone is this FA class really fitting the Giants plans for the next few years.
My "Hope" is that Haskins is there at #6 and we trade down a bit and still get a player of need along with a #2. In the second round, we grab two offensive lineman, a RT and maybe OC.
But more likely, we land a pass rusher type at #6 and an OC or RT in round 2. You just have to hope both of the top picks are NFL ready and upgrade our team.
I'd rather get a #3 compensatory pick for Collins than way over-pay a RT like D. Williams. That is how I see things right now.
It's basically a high 4th. If you can get a young player in free agency who can help you in 2020 you don't worry about canceling out your comp pick.
Would not want the guy we sign to cancel out Collins though.
A RT would probably cost too much, so drafting is probably the best way to get one. But the value has to be there.
