I didn't see this posted, apologies if it's a duplicate but perusing Twitter I saw a blurb about Barwin discussing Odell with Colin Cowherd. He point blank said Odell was a great teammate and the best athlete he's ever seen in his decade in the NFL.
When Cowherd asked if the Giants trade him, Barwin sounded adamant that they wouldn't because he's simply too special of a player. In summary he said he thinks Shurmur finds more ways after having him and Saquon for a year that he'll figure out how to get more out of him. Barwin also said while with the Eagles they bracketed him in every single snap and he had never seen a team to do that anyone else, that's how good he thinks team see him. So from Barwin's view we aren't trading him because he thinks it's a reactionary move and we aren't in that mode.
A lot of the guys here seem to know better, though.

We’ll get the rationale that Barwin wouldn’t trash a player while he’s looking for a job.
He's here. He's staying here. End of discussion.

Yet another guy who has spent time in the same locker room who is praising him...

Hah, yep. The likely angle.
Now with a 2nd legit superstar in SB (a 2nd threat whose every touch is a potential "home run" TD), really this O should be WIDE open for Engram and Sheppard. This coming year Sheppard should make a LOT of money for himself from 2020 on.
As for the team mate stuff and work ethic - particularly the work ethic - similar stuff about him has been posted before. Maybe even this quote exactly, but it's nice to see a reminder. He's not a team cancer.
Despite what some think, he is a smart guy who gets it. I love having him on the team
Hopefully one of BBI’s truth warriors can help Barwin undestand what he missed that they see so clearly through scanning the internet.
