with Eli gone and all the dead $$$ from the trades gone, and most likely cuts of Jenkins and Ogletree Giants could be looking at over $125 million in cap space next year.
They will have a lot of flexibility moving forward.
I mean, what's the difference?
Great.

maybe a Jenkins trade? if not maybe they do cut him. I think they like Ogletree as a leader. I think they see value in that for what will be a really young defense.
What did we win with Odell?
i mean what was our other option. This roster wasn't competing this year. Or probably next year with a rookie QB. So OBJ is now 28 and he would be miserable and a distraction on a losing team. This team needed to be blown up. They finally picked a direction and committed to it
Odell didn’t take us anywhere while here. Eli is most likely gone. We weren’t winning with either. I like DG making bold decisions and putting the Giants on a path of stability.
Great.
Great.
this year we are a terrible team with zero cap space. So hitting on draft and making good FA signings in the future will hopefully improve our talent level.

I hate to be the one to tell you, but the Giants do have a crappy team.
with no cap space

You can’t cut everyone. And the giants just might be halfway decent next season. Let’s see how it plays out.
Ding, ding, fucking ding.

We should just cut Ogletree and Jenkins post-June 1 and take the dead money now. Prepare to really make some moves next year.

Honestly, if they can get a Devin White-type speedy ILB next to Ogletree. I think he could be a good player.

They just gave away one of the best players we have ever had. Perfect, Funchess can complete his one year deal with the Colts and we can give him a deal as big as OBJ’s next year

What have the Angels won with Mike Trout? It's not just about one player, even if that player is the best or one of in his sport.
Teams need talent and when you have one of the best in the game, you figure out a way to keep him and win.
