Jay Glazer on Sirius now

jvm52106 : 3/12/2019 9:31 pm
basically said things really started to shift after the interview with Little Wayne.. Then at trading deadline teams called Gmen about OBJ and TISCH said no. He loved OBJ. As the season wore on and OBJ was not around the last 4 weeks Tisch moved to the side of Mara and DG that OBJ had to go.

Basically said Giants would have traded him last offs eason but PS wanted to keep him. Talked to him and felt they were on the same page but things changed as the season started.

Because you don't write checks for these guys. The Giants got two picks and a 1st rd pick from 2 years ago a position of absolute need.

Saquon is amazing, but he's one player. This isn't the NBA where you can win with one guy and a supporting cast. This is a true team sport. You need talent.

This is the exact point. Even if you hate Beckham you don’t trade him for what we got. We should have waited for a bigger return.

His all in style leaves him prone to injury.

His on field antics are an embarrassment.

I wish DG had gotten more but I think this is is a good, smart move.

Pass on trade for Collins, then let him walk. Sign Odell to big contract, then trade him away. At this point they’re in full rebuild, building around their 37 year old QB.
So Glazer was right a few weeks back about
BBelle21 : 3/12/2019 9:37 pm : link
Odell getting traded. Don’t understand the uproar. If the Giants traded Barkley, I would think they all lost their minds. Odell, not at all. Strengthen the Oline, pass rush, keep Eli for the transition and bring in the next franchise QB that they fall in love with into a situation where he’ll be protected and can function.

You mean like last year? Saquon saw 8 in the box most of the time and he did pretty good when Odell was hurt.
Hmm, I see things differently
jvm52106 : 3/12/2019 9:38 pm : link
as look at the past 4/5 Super Bowl winners. They are well balanced with multiple weapons but no "superstar", especially at WR.. We got a good return considering where things are at.

You can't keep a guy if you feel his presence can and has undermined management and or coaching staff.

Irvin, for all his BS, was a better team player and followed direction on the field far better than OBJ ever did.

No vision? DG has always been about building the OL and DL. That’s exactly what’s he’s doing. This draft will be heavily invested in our lines again. Build from the inside out has always been the vision and that’s what he’s starting to do by getting rid of these skill position players.
