basically said things really started to shift after the interview with Little Wayne.. Then at trading deadline teams called Gmen about OBJ and TISCH said no. He loved OBJ. As the season wore on and OBJ was not around the last 4 weeks Tisch moved to the side of Mara and DG that OBJ had to go.
Basically said Giants would have traded him last offs eason but PS wanted to keep him. Talked to him and felt they were on the same page but things changed as the season started.
2019 baby!
Because you don't write checks for these guys. The Giants got two picks and a 1st rd pick from 2 years ago a position of absolute need.
i agree. im okay moving him but wish it was for more
Saquon is amazing, but he's one player. This isn't the NBA where you can win with one guy and a supporting cast. This is a true team sport. You need talent.
This is the exact point. Even if you hate Beckham you don’t trade him for what we got. We should have waited for a bigger return.
His all in style leaves him prone to injury.
His on field antics are an embarrassment.
I wish DG had gotten more but I think this is is a good, smart move.

the Giants wanted Barkley as the focal point and it was not really going to work with OBJ there. This is now Barkley's team.

exactly. barkley is good but he will see 8 man + boxes all next year. teams will run blitz literally every down. 2019 is going to be a fucking shitshow
the mere fact that they did not get more makes it arguable....
I think we got a good haul. This is a guy who has missed 15 games in the last 2 years. We have a ton of picks. It’s about time this franchise stops appeasing the fans.

yes because its impossible for a GM to take less than worth lol
That is not at all how football works. Did the Cowboys trade Irvin because they wanted to focus on Emmitt?
Flummexed we didn't get more
The Athletic gave Browns A and us a D

You mean like last year? Saquon saw 8 in the box most of the time and he did pretty good when Odell was hurt.
You can't keep a guy if you feel his presence can and has undermined management and or coaching staff.
2019 baby!
Come on now man...that’s in OBJ, not Lil Wayne

Can OBJ be happy in Cleveland? He seems like a west coast big city kind of guy.

Irvin, for all his BS, was a better team player and followed direction on the field far better than OBJ ever did.

Irvin was a COMPLETE team player.
OBJ...not so much (coming from a fan of his ability).
That's the difference..........
yea its not even close
the hit rate on 17th overall is like a fcuking coin flip....we took a coin flip a decent safety and #95 for a TOP 3 WR in his prime...sickening
Flummexed we didn't get more

Sounds about right

No vision? DG has always been about building the OL and DL. That’s exactly what’s he’s doing. This draft will be heavily invested in our lines again. Build from the inside out has always been the vision and that’s what he’s starting to do by getting rid of these skill position players.
Bingo. I am sompissed at the weak-ass compensation. The Giants are lost in the desert.
Quote:
Pass on trade for Collins, then let him walk. Sign Odell to big contract, then trade him away. At this point they’re in full rebuild, building around their 37 year old QB.

Lol. This wasn’t the grand plan. They signed Odell to a huge contract. Then changed their mind.
Beckham played them. He played good boy until the ink was dry... then he went on TV with Lil Wayne
Barkley had a great season and Giants won five games.
Yeah but dude..hes 37 on a 1 year contract. Eli is clearly not in their plans.

Or OBJ’s behavior changed after he signed the contract.
I am trying to give Mara and Gettleman perhaps more credit than they deserve.
Do you think he will be as successful?
And the 3rd rounder is #95,the ABSOLUTE last pick in the round. They couldn't even get the Browns to give them their higher #3 (80).

Didn't Irvin and Dionne try to mentor and talk sense into his head? They failed. It will sink in with Beckham when he sets up shop in Cleveland and realizes where he is.
Some of you guys don’t make any sense.
