Will delete this thread after .... I can’t seem to get an answer on it anywhere.

Dust hasn't settled yet.

Whatever it is, we have a shitload of DEAD MONEY against our cap. $8 million from Vernon and $16 million from Beckham alone.

Not necessarily. He had $65 million of his $95 million guaranteed.

$5 million in cap room for this season. Rest is dead money. Not sure if that's in fact accurate.
And will there be more dead money

Next year for Beckham ?

factoring in the other players with dead money, we are spending over $33 million of cap space on players not on the roster. Ugh.

Sounds like only 2.75 mil in dead money next season. It is shaping up to where the Giants cap space in 2020 could be over $100 million!
We could have all the cap

Beckham's number would have been $21,000,000. Now $16,000,000. Peppers # is only $1.4 million.

Stop freaking out about the dead money and focus on the future years savings. Dead money prevents you from spending big money now, but saves $ later. We have plenty for this year and will have a gazillion next year.

Ah, that is where you are wrong. Ancient Chinese saying:

"Money talks and BS walks." It is always about the $$$.
People have to figure out that dead money isn't the important number
BillT : 3/12/2019 10:15 pm : link
Dead money is a sunk cost. It's there in any case. This deal freed up $5m in cap room and gives the Giants about $29m in cap space according to OTC.
An interesting
YANKEE28 : 3/12/2019 10:36 pm : link
note regarding the Cleveland Browns.

For 2019, the two highest paid players in Cleveland will be:

OBJ- $17,000,000
OV- $15,500,000

All the cap space in the world also doesn't mean shit if you don't have a QB. And we don't have a QB.
