Eli owns all : 3/12/2019 10:21 pm : link
I wouldn’t hate it. wont ever happen tho.
He’ll be here for ‘19
Big Blue '56 : 3/12/2019 10:21 pm : link
while our possible QB in ‘20, waits his turn
Possibly.
Dave in Hoboken : 3/12/2019 10:22 pm : link
He needs to go. This team is going nowhere with him this year.
Not for me
Mkdaman1818 : 3/12/2019 10:22 pm : link
I’m pretty much set that Eli is done either now or at the end of this season. They should only cut him if they have a QB coming and they need the cap space for other players. Otherwise, if we have an incoming rookie QB, he can help mentor and prepare his successor.
We are in tank mode.
larryflower37 : 3/12/2019 10:24 pm : link
Manning is going to look like Ya Title.
At the end of the year.
They could cut Eli now
blueblood : 3/12/2019 10:24 pm : link
but they wont.. If anything Eli retires...
Eli needs to go too
Elite Mobster #32 : 3/12/2019 10:24 pm : link
Draft Lock and start over then
I don’t think trading OBJ

And keeping Eli makes any sense at all. Improve the line so Eli has more time to throw, but take away his most dangerous receiving threat so he needs more time to find someone.

I don’t see why they would pay Eli $23M to play next year. It makes zero sense now because you aren’t trying to win games.

We're going to make one more run with Eli!!!

YAS!

Because he is stupid enough to stand back there and take a beaten while they win 3 games.
End his career in shame
What does Odell Beckham have to do with Eli Manning?
Chris684 : 3/12/2019 10:29 pm : link
Beckham’s NYG career was a popcorn fart compared to Eli’s
Meanwhile, with Beckham out, we scored a ton at the end of the year
yatqb : 3/12/2019 10:31 pm : link
with guys like Flowers, Coleman and Russell Shephard and such on the outside. The ball was spread around, Engram was more engaged in the offense, and somehow the offense didn't really skip a beat. Very different from two years ago, when without Barkley we had the same quality of WRs I just listed and couldn't score worth a damn.
He will be in Blue this year
montanagiant : 3/12/2019 10:32 pm : link
At the very least.

I would hope this trade means we are waiting until 2020 to get our

QB of the future. If they trade both first rounders for either Haskins or Murray I’d be sick.

Restructure/cut Eli now and go in full tank mode next year.

I'd rather get Rosen for a #2 or a #3, but Haskins is as good as anything short of Lawrence and he is at least two years away.
I hope Eli wins his 3rd
SHO'NUFF : 3/12/2019 10:37 pm : link
and sticks it to OBJ like he did Tiki.

Giants had 3 solid backs after tiki retired.
They have zero WRs

Ward was not known as a solid back going into 2007. Bradshaw was a 7th rd pick.
He will stay

The only way Gettlemen's moves make any sense is if getting rid of Reese's players is a higher priority than winning football games.

Reese didn't draft Eli.

I will be surprised if the Giants ever win another game under Shurmur and Gettlemen.
If we stop worrying about Mara/Tisch money, the only reasons
yatqb : 3/13/2019 6:22 am : link
to cut Eli now are to commit to the tank or because we’re bringing in a new vet QB. Most of the top FAs are already gone, so his cap space does nothing for us.
He's going no where this year
micky : 3/13/2019 6:25 am : link
Possibly in 2020. But they are building around him
no
bc4life : 3/13/2019 6:25 am : link
Beckham is still a generational talent. And he helped Barkley and Barkley helped him.
