*Gettleman is not stupid as some suggests, he did quite well in Carolina, but I'll acknowledge he did sell low on a lot of his trades

*Beckham, for all his talent, has not helped the Giants win at all

*The Manning era is coming to an end, and tanking for the 2020 QB class is not stupid. Tanking has worked in baseball, I don't see why it can't work in football. Mediocrity has haunted the Skins for 2 1/2 decades and their is a reason for that

*We're not in a position to win now anyway, we need to build roster depth, and we now have 12 picks, and I actually do trust DG as a talent evaluator

*We have a ton of cap room and their will be players available, either to trade for or sign. I would definitely target someone like Clowney to pair with whatever edge rusher we grab now.

*I expect more trades geared toward 2020 vs. now, we're planning for beyond this next season

*Peppers is good, and the safety market is absurd, so getting someone cheap for 3 years isn't a terrible buy. How much would peppers get on the open market?

*Culture shock; we are working toward high character people. Peppers won the Lott IMPACT Trophy as the best defensive player of high character; Zeitler from what I understand is very high character; we know Barkley and a lot of the 2018 draft are high character guys.

And while I appreciate your take, this offense needs somebody to take the pressure off the run game. It�s like 1995 all over again. We had Rodney Hampton with a good line but below average WR.

I like Shepard and Engram but Beckham is on another level.

The key players on that SB team were inherited. I never thought he was the right guy for the job here. His FA period last year was shit, passing on a QB last year at 2 probably bites him in the ass in the end, and now he got railroaded in the one trade he absolutely had to win. He constantly gets ridiculed in the media for building this team like it�s 1982. I�m absolutely terrified about where he might be leading this franchise.

If DG doesn�t do that before 3/17 getting rid of OBJ makes zero sense.

I mean clearly it's the only thing that you have to go on outside of free agency.

I don't get that logic. You need a quarterback to run the plays. You're not going to trot out Lauletta as a starting quarterback. So Eli's replacement is not on the roster. Either you get him now, and having that QB learn from Eli for a year isn't a bad time. Or you wait till 2020, at whch time Eli is off the books and you didn't have to sign somebody for a one year rental.

That said, one more year for Eli on a team in full tank mode will probably destroy his Ball of Fame chances. He's 2 games over .500 right now. By the end of next season, he could be 12 games under.

He thought last year's team to start the season was a winning team.

Some dumb comments such as he seemed to be downplaying analytics/ living in the past.

*I'm not slamming him for this trade though at the moment I don't like it in pat because I don't trust him. Butif he finds a good QB this year or next . . .
