The Giants could have drafted Darnold, cut Eli, kept Odell and signed Bell.

Also could have draft Todd Gurley over Ereck Flowes and Aaron Donald over Beckham
And yet they still have that #1 from New Orleans in the bank

Not sure. But that is very cheap for a non-rookie contract.

Yeah by about $2 million, but I’m guessing this is most or all guaranteed.

when did you grow eyes in the back of your head?

Also, you really think this team wanted a guy who was one bong hit away from a much longer suspension?

They’d be a better team

So you are saying that DG should done the following...
1. selected Darnold with our #2 pick and cut Eli (we still dont know whether Darnold is going to be a good QB by the way)
2. Not drafted Barkley because somehow they knew that Bell was going to hold out this past season and become available.

You are advocating to have an unproven QB with two highly talented and unstable players that he would need to rely on.

I cannot believe anyone would think bringing in Lev Bell is a good thing.

I don't think this is going to work out all that well for them.
At least the Eagles didn't get him

Well the way things unfolded if the Giants did draft Darnold I doubt Odell would've been traded for a bag of donuts, a hot pretzel and a hot dog as he was last night. Would they have been in on Bell? For as cheap as his contract was...maybe?

You're an idiot. Once again why are you here? The Jets were bidding against themselves and gave a RB with a ton of wear and tear who just sat out a year over 13 million per season and even you said that you didn't want him yesterday. Like a child you completely change your tune hours later once the signing becomes official.

Jets got Bell on the cheap which makes it more palatable. Though yes I still wouldn't have done it even for those figures. But nobody can deny it makes them a much better team right now there are still holes that need to be filled that should've taken precedent over Bell. If they were going to get Bell this was the best way to go about it.
