So I really don’t know. On the surface it makes sense, but they may love Haskins or even a guy like Lock or Jones.
But I am not sure that Mara and DG don’t want to leave Eli in place until he decides to retire. They seem to not be adverse to letting emotion drive business decisions.
JonC, who is as plugged in as anyone, says no. I'd like to get Rosen as he was my pick for last year at QB, but JonC has been pretty steadfast in saying the Giants are not interested.
But never say never.

Don't get me wrong, I love what JonC brings; but just yesterday he called the trade offer of a 1st - 3rd and a 1st from the Browns for Odell as total pie in the sky, and just the daily internet click mongering. I know Peppers is not exactly the equivalent to a 1st but he is a recent 1st, and I would consider that not even close to pie in the sky of a trade offer. People can get incorrect info sometimes. Don't know if that's the case here, but I learned a long time ago that even info from the best sources should not be taken as fact. The fact Hitdog brought up a Rosen trade last night made it feel like even more of a real possibility.
info or talk that we are in on Rosen. In fact - all the talk from Jon and some other posters in the know is that we are looking at Fromm and the other QBs in 2020
included next years' #1 pick. While Peppers is a promising prospect, next years' #1 would be worth more on the trade market.
As for Rosen, there's been nothing new on him to reach me. I don't see us trading a #1 or #2 pick for him. If we pulled the trigger on it now, it would be another odd reversal from the front office.
didn't want to make it seem like I was calling you out; love what you bring. Was just saying in my eyes getting a 1st, 3rd and Peppers (and now apparently also swapping a 5th for a 4th) is close enough to a 1st 3rd and 1st that I wouldn't exactly describe it as a pie in the sky request. I've got a friend who works in business with the NFL and from time to time tells me stuff. Sometimes he hears stuff that's correct, and sometimes it turns out wrong. I rarely post the stuff because I see how often it can be wrong (also most info is non-Giant related so doesn't seem applicable to the board), but based on what he told me about Rosen I was hoping you might have incorrect info on his case.
He told me they did a film breakdown of Rosen's rookie season and the good far outweighs the bad, saying snap for snap he was better than Darnold. Again, can't speak for the personality questions (he had a brief interaction with Rosen pre-draft and said he was pleasant, but wasn't anything of note more than an exchange of pleasantries), but as a talent he described him as a slam dunk. Prior to the draft he described Rosen as the best QB prospect he had seen since Luck.
In regards to a couple of QB's in this years class he classified Haskins as Deshone Kizer (who he was high on as a talent a couple of years ago, but hated the character) but felt that Haskins character is much better which should lead him to a nice career. He liked him as a prospect but still felt like he deserved a mid-1st round grade with a lot of items that need to be cleaned up to really unlock him as a QB. The other QB he had strong opinions on was Drew Lock, who I figured he would rave about due to school affiliation (former Mizzou grad and actually was a student assistant coach when he was there), and he was very negative about him. Basically said he is Gabbert re-incarnate, in an absolute perfect situation he has a shot to be a league average QB, but despite the tools the processing power just is not there to capitalize on them.
RE: I don’t think I understand the plan DG has at all Â

No offense taken. I agree with your friend on Haskins and Lock, they're not options for me at #6. It will be interesting to see if NYG goes ER at #6, OT at #17 ... or do they take a flier on Lock at #17.
While Rosen's physical/passing talents are clearly enticing, it's apparently the rest of the package that's the issue. If that was true a year ago, I wouldn't expect the opinion to change.
In fact, another odd reversal from the front office wouldn't fill me with confidence.
I also misread the pie in the sky in the thread yesterday. I thought it was a #1, #2, and future #1, which is likely what DG was holding out for, and didn't get.
like him to come here. I'd trade #17 for him, although I would start by offering #37. But I'd be surprised if the Giants trade for him. JonC and others with inside information have repeatedly said that the Giants don't think his personality is a good fit for the team.

If they take Daniel Jones It’s over
