My seats are currently in one of the worst sections and we have been mulling upgrading anyway. We randomly got the invoice yesterday and after the obj trade both my wife and me independently suggested just walking away as we have had enough. PSLs in my section go for nothing on secondary market and there is minimal movement (especially after trades like yesterday) so I would doubt I would sell it for anything prior to having to pay for the tickets.
We both agreed to give it a week and see if our emotions settle down. But assuming we are in a similar spot thought wise can i just hand this back to giants? Or am I obligated to actually purchase the tickets since I am the psl owner?
The entertainment value is priceless and I can sure use the laughs...
I don't see the point of having PSLs for poor or even mediocre seats. Nowadays you can the seats you want for the games you want on the secondary market and you aren't forced to buy tickets to exhibition games for the privilege.
And to think, it was the last game at Giants Stadium that sealed it for me, when TC and Eli got outplayed by Carolina's backup QB in a game that they needed to make the playoffs. The writing was on the wall that things weren't as stable as they looked, SB notwithstanding.

Seriously. “My wife and I agreed to wait a week and see how we feel?”
Good grief.
I like buying low...lol....but seriously, where do you seat?
Sounds pretty sane to me. The OBJ thing seems to be the last straw. The morons are the ones who keep buying tickets while the Mara and Tisch families fuck them over year after year. People are always so cavalier about spending someone else’s money.
Be curious if you guys saying it’s dumb are season ticket holders
Not true, if you go to psl site you have a pretty large choice of seats.
The waiting list is long long gone

These are $1000 face value PSLs?
Might not be a bad idea to get $250 for them and cut your losses.
If you are thinking of upgrading, call the Giants. They will likely credit you the $1000 towards better PSLs and you wont pay all the fees involved with selling.

You're right why count the SB win in 2011...
Totally irrelevant...

The boat I bought instead is all mine, and I'm not subject to the Giants inability to manage their way to a halfway decent record. At least when I'm not catching fish I don't have someone else to blame for it.

Not irrelevant - but basically running on the fumes of earlier decisions. The cracks were already apparent by that point, although it wasn't until several seasons later that they proved to be fatal to the Giants playoff chances.
Tickets are available for every game on the secondary market and you're not obligated to buy tickets to pre-season games.
