As I have said, I have a friend in the Steelers organization and he says that it is true that his teammates loved him but that OBJ was behaving erratically behind the scenes and brass felt it was a matter of time before it got worse and in the future it would happen publicly. Basically, there were other instances that have not been reported on that made DG and others more motivated to trade him.
Some salt to take that with info - people in the Steelers organization are close to people in the Giants organization. The whole Rooney-Mara thing. Could be intentionally biased leaks from the Giants to help with the PR fallout.
Also, the Steelers feel scorned by (what they view as) an unreasonable, diva WR. This may also be a misery loves company situation.
