Just in case anyone here has forgotten Green Bay 1/8/17

On Sunday, though, Beckham never found his rhythm with Manning, who came out of the gate with newfound zip on his throws. The Giants quarterback laced the ball to Beckham on a third-down play in the opening quarter, only to see the receiver drop the pass to end New York's first drive.

On the team's second march, Manning unfurled a pass that slipped through Beckham's hands in the end zone as he dropped what would have been a 28-yard touchdown grab. The Giants went on to kick a field goal.

I mean really. We got destroyed that's not all on OBJ.

Our offense sucked and our defense got exposed.
Yep

have you forgotten waht Eli said about it "Some of the younger guys probably made the game bigger than it was and it affected their play. They'll learn from it."
He was still too mesmerized by Justin Bieber's hair

With 15 missed game in two years and if last years injury is to be taken at face value and you have a quick twitch athlete with several injuries and a ridiculous understanding of what being a team player is. Who signed a contract to be the highest paid receiver in the league and immediately trashed the team with Josina Anderson and Lil Fucking Wayne

The Giants just hit a home run.

Game should have been 14-0 in the first quarter. Huge difference.
Unless derailed by injury, that guy is going to get a gold jacket
jcn56 : 3/13/2019 8:28 am : link
and in return, the Giants got shit.

Yes, they could get lucky and draft someone just as good. Don't hold your breath.
How a about
joeinpa : 3/13/2019 8:28 am : link
The fact that he played in only 16 games in past 2 seasons as well.

When you have unreasonable expectations of what a guy is worth in a trade, which has been evidenced here often, you are going to overreact to any trade.

When you compare to the AB trade, this deal was outstanding
Headline from Eli Manning's first playoff game...

"Panthers Humiliate Giants 23-0"

Among the interesting sentences of the piece... "And Carolina rattled Eli Manning into four turnovers to lead the Panthers to victory."

He got cheap shotted in a meaningless preseason game.

Then last year when the season was clearly out of reach and they shut him down.

I mean we are grasping at straws.

The old farts really are vindicated today.

Because there's a small segment of Giants fans who literally hated the guy.

Because there is a large portion of the fan base who do not realize that in recent times this guy does more in pregame warmups than he does when the whistle blows.

If you cannot wrap your head around what his interview did (days after taking millions from the team) than I got nothing. You really want that guy on your team?

focus on the important stuff
bc4life : 3/13/2019 8:48 am : link
like the interview? and yeah - were all those pre game stats. ain't gonna waste anymore time on the haters. guy is friggin gone and you're still cryassing about him
Eli was one of the few Giants
rmc3981 : 3/13/2019 9:08 am : link
who came to play in Green Bay.
He also dropped a long TD on the opening drive

of the Panthers game in '15. That's part of the reason he was frustrated enough to fight with Josh Norman for 3 quarters. We almost came back in that game. Maybe without the sideshow and our best weapon taking himself out for most of the game we would've won. I'll never forget watching Coughlin just shaking his head that day. That was such an awful day and spelled the end for Coughlin here. I for on was in shock to see someone in a Giants uniform acting that way all afternoon. A scuffle, or a fight once will happen and is usually excused. But that was just awful. I recall Odell's written apology stated that he had "dropped the ball on sportsmanship" that day. Sounds like he was frustrated at himself just as much as Norman.
