If there is a person who is going to benefit from Beckham's absence, its going to be Evan Engram. I was really frustrated how he started the year off and felt like he was going to be a disappointing player for us. However, in the last 4 games of the year without Beckham...
22 catches 321 yards and a TD. Nearly 15 YPC? Sign me up. He made a ton of big plays in those 4 games, and I think once he got healthy he turned into an absolute monster. I think whether its Eli or a rookie - he is going to be the focal point of the offense, ala Jimmy Graham in NO, and is really going to start to produce.
One thing we got to hope for is health with him and he can play the entire 16 games. But if there is a breakout candidate in the NFL next year - he is your man.

Come up with a new schtick. 3rd time you have done this in the past 24 hours. Grow up.

I think you need a break, man... this is getting silly.

year, talking about how Engram has disappointed, Shepard is just a jag, and everyone has let down Eli once again.

Sure, this is silly - how are the Mets doing these days?
Maybe they'll draft a te and move Engram to wr. Irv Smith is a guy who can block and receive. I think he's almost as good as Hockenson, but could be there at 37.
I know we have had some back and forths. I know you were a huge OBJ fan and defended him a lot the last few years...
But I dont think there has been a more spot on poster since last night and actually being objective.
Kudos to you.
This trade? Maybe not, but the last few years - and certainly the last two.
The difference is I don't shake loyalty as easily, but if I were you I'd already be buying green jerseys. This team is fucked as long as Mr. Magoo and Mr. Burns are running things.
Eli aka 2019's "Mr. Dink n Dunk"
People can bitch about Odell's over the top antics, but I'd rather have him on the team than not. It makes life easier for the rest of the team. Now, they're gonna run Saquon into the ground.

We werent really lighting it up offensively with him the last few years. In fact, we did light it up without him in 1/4 of the season last year.

Haha, yup... this trade broke you.

It sounds like you're the one who wants to give up on the Giants, not me.
You can take as many shots at my fandom or loyalty as you'd like - it really doesn't bother me. It just tells me you're angry and looking for people to take it out on.
I've taken breaks from BBI before, sometimes it's good to get away from here. If you'd rather stay and shitpost all day and derail discussions, that's cool too.

Just trying not to be a knee-jerk lunatic and see both sides of things - I see ways that this can be the right move for us and be better in the long-run.
I think most others will as well once they are able to separate themselves from Beckham as fans.

He has no one else to throw to. Shep...Maybe. but if teams bracket Engram, there's no passing game. I Guess Saquon can play wideout.

It just feels like too small of a sample size. Also, I think under-production speaks more to an aging/shell-shocked qb and bad offensive line than Beckham (And probably a lot to do with Saqon).
'Engram'!='OBJ'. Engram needs to focus on catching the ball. I like him, I'm just not as hopeful as you.
