NYG get: G Kevin Zeitler, S Jabrill Peppers, 2019 1st-round pick (17), 2019 3rd-round pick (95).
CLE: OBJ, Olivier Vernon.
(I’m under impression NYG would have cut OV, so they won THAT part of trade.)

Are you kidding me? The dead money for this year counts against the cap. That's 24 million the Giants can't use. 33.8 million in total. Approx 18% of our cap is alloted to players that are no longer on the team.

But that money was spent whether the player is on the team or not. Given that, any cap savings is indeed savings.
