If 2020 is QB class is the goal...

Then 17th Overall is well positioned for trading down and building draft capital. Its a likely spot for people who are slipping to still be on the board facilitating a trade back into the mid 20's and from there possibility to a team looking to get back into the 1st round. This could allow us to roll our draft capital forward into next year to go after one of the 2020 qb prospects. Additionally the increased cap space next off season would allow us more latitude to patch apparent holes through free agency.
12 picks is a LOT

I'm hoping they can use those mid-late round picks to move up for players that may drop or trade for 2020 picks.

#17 has nothing tio do with 2020. we are going to be picking top 5 regardless and will move up for a QB of our choosing.

#6 sweat
#17 devin white/devin bush
#37 OT(if no daryl williams) if not go adderly or a WR like AJ brown or hollywood brown

2020 trade the house to move to get the QB you want....even though we could be picking #1
I had a nightmare

last night that the Giants used the 17th pick on Daniel Jones.

very possible
I don’t see why the Giants would wait to 2020.

Other than the kid from Clemson the talent is similar.

trading down from the 17th pick or trading this years 2nd for a 1st in 2020. Acquiring more picks in 2020 should be a focus if the Giants truly want Fromm next year. Best case is that they don't need to trade up for him then they have other picks to fill other holes.

Fromm and Tua are better than the QB's in the 2018 or 2019 draft classes.
If Tua came injury free he’d be awesome

by I don’t thjnk he can get through a full college season, so I’m pimping the breaks on him.

Agreed, I would also add Herbert.

Fromm will be a great backup QB.

WHo do you think projects to be a franchise qb?
Personally I'd be ok with extending Eli...

to make his cap numbers more agreeable to his level of production. And begin rolling capital forward from this year into 2020 and then from there into 2021 and try and go after Trevor Lawrence. But I'm also of the opinion that you go after your quarterback towards the end of the rebuild not at the beginning.
Giants have the option on Eli...

They can see how he plays this year. If he plays well or well enough they can offer him a 1yr contract next off season to either start or start & mentor the QB of the future.. it shouldnt impact the decision to draft a QB in 2020 or 2021. I see no reason to commit to him beyond this season.
