This OBJ trade blows in many ways to me it's the small return.
What if anything can the Giants organization do right now in free agency or trade to some how lessen the blow to fans?
I think to get the fanbase back on board and re-engergized, the only thing would be to find Eli's heir apparent, but it has to be right, and it might not be this year.
i think for many people who havent jumped off the ship yet
Would make me happy but actually having a QB we could evaluate on the roster if we are effectively out of it by the bye again would do wonders. Everything is a function of time. We wasted an entire year worth of QB evaluation/development time over the course of 2 years by having no one worth looking at on the roster at QB. If we do this 3 years in a row someone should be shot.
Think he was the best passer in last year's draft and he's leaps and bounds ahead of anyone in this year's... But I just can't see us bringing in Rosen as the face of the franchise (with Barkley obviously) after everything DG has done to overhaul the culture over the past year.
trading for rosen and cutting eli would honestly help.
signing daryl williams would help too
if neither happen ugh. if eli gets extended i will be changing teams lol
Hope to tell you goodbye then. Rosen sucks. The QB's of the future are in the 2020 or 2021 draft. Eli is the perfect stop gap until we get either Fromm or Lawrence. Eli is not the issue on this team. It has been the OL. Now that it is being corrected we just traded away a prime piece to it. Do not get it.
is official, Mara or Gettleman should get in front of the media and explain their rationale for trading him, 13 days after going out of their way to point out he was not on the trading block after his big extension and taking a big cap hit to do so. it would put to rest some of the speculation and churn.
People complain we didn't get another pick, when we got Jabrill Peppers, an extremely young safety coming off a good year built to play a hybrid position in our scheme with virtually no cap hit and 2 (maybe 3) years left on his deal. That is literally better than what, 90% of picks? People are glossing over this and i don't get why.
In addition to the young, cheap player, we got the 17th pick and a third. I don't see how its terrible compensation.
This organization did everything in their power to make it work with Odell. Everything. Why aren't more people asking why everyone got on board with trading him? That doesn't signal a red flag?

Me too.
And screw up their drafting position for the 2020 QBs.
you mean lose games and secure there franchise QB. Then no one will care about OBJ

Not me. I'm going down with the ship. Been a Giants fan since 1960. I'm a Giants fan till I die. If you guys wanna jump ship, that's your decision.
this and that is all that matters really.

This x 1,000.
The owner keeps Eli well past his prime because he's afraid of fan revolt, then trades away our best player for dumb-ass reasons.
