competition in camp can't wait for the draft .

First round #17
Second round #37
third round #95
Fourth round #108
Fourth round #133
Fifth round #142
Fifth round #143
Fifth round #171
Sixth round #180
Seventh round #232
Seventh round #245

a little crazy, its almost like having two full draft classes in 1 year if you consider Sam Beal a part of this draft class (13 picks then). Makes you wonder if they punt on the QB for this season if they see it as this year they are getting two draft classes so if they have to deal a large portion of their picks away next year to move up for QB it wont hurt as badly since the quantity of young talent is already in tow.
2 1st 1 2nd 2 3rds (including Beal) 2 4ths 3 5ths 1 6th and 2 7ths. Literally almost two full draft classes.
A whoooole lot of camp fodder in there

Surely it’s not a bad thing to have 12 picks, but 7 are 5th round or later. The quality isn’t as impressive as the quantity
I'd love to trade down with that #17

and maybe get another day 2 pick somehow.
Extra coinage to move up as well .

8 picks in the top 150
things could be worse ....

I'd love to trade that pick for a 2020 1st like GB did last year.
5 guys in 108

I expect all 5 to be starters. The other 7 guys can provide much needed depth.

I doubt we use all the picks

My guess is the late round picks are packed to move up in the 3rd or 4th.

This ...
This is the year use the draft to fill holes and improve the roster...

Next year we will use the big cap savings, (about $100M) to complete that task. I really believe that most of our 2020 draft picks will be used to move up in the draft to get our next Franchise QB. I think that is the plan...
I do not expect us..
AussieGiants : 3/13/2019 6:10 pm : link
to be very active in the free agency period this year.. we have very little cap space ... I expect we could be getting a few compensatory picks in 2020 with Collins and Brown moving on for decent contracts. If we assume the Giants end up with an extra 3rd pick, they'll be able to move up to take a QB in 2020 and (god willing), they'll have filled some holes in with this draft so that instead of needing a QB, RT, C, WR, 2 edge rushers, 1 linebacker, 1 safety, 2 corners they can resign players they need and maybe bring in a player or two to fill a specific need.
