Until I see those players selected with the extra picks. I like Peppers and the RG....so that was a good start.
He did well in Last Year draft....this one has probably become one of the most important draft in franchise history.
Losing RT William back to Carolina felt like a punch to the gut,....i am so disgusted that it has taken 9 years for a competent OL....i thought he was the final piece. Ugh.
I am not even sure there is an edge rusher worth anything in FA.
Who is the #2 receiver? #3?
Who is the starting RT?
Edge rushers?
CB depth?
IOL depth? No backup guards on the roster right now.
ILB next to Ogletree?
DL depth? Only 3 DL on the roster right now
Oh and by the way, still need to find a QB of the future...
He and Shepard are an awful fit together. I don't know what the Giants have up their sleeves, if anything, but I doubt anything they do at this point is going to push them past a 3 or 4 win team.

The #3 WR SHOULD bee Shepard. The #4 WR SHOULD be Coleman. Better question is who is the #1 and #2 WR.
Is there anyone besides Jackrabbit that would bring back something significant?
Who else has been rumored to be on trade block?
Jackrabbit probably wouldn't bring back much - could possibly see him in a similar contract swap as Vernon, but don't think anyone is giving up a draft pick for an expensive 30 year old CB on the downslope.
Minnesota seems to be up against the cap, I wonder if there's a contract shurmur would take off their hands. Seems like they are trying to get Eversen Griffen to restructure and if he doesn't he will probably get cut. I believe I saw they are also shopping Tre Waynes but said they won't cut him for nothing. Treadwell could probably be had really cheap.
Not a lot of good left out there. He played well enough to start at RT for Gettleman and Shurmur in Minnesota. Both are likely infinitely better than Wheeler.
I thought we would sign him if we had OBJ but either way he seems like a reclamation project. He has produced in the past and played with zero QBs with the bills. Even if only signs a 1 year prove it deal to get big money again from someone it would be good for us. I think he is good enough to get some respect from the defense.
jtgiants said "big things" were still going to happen Â
asshat? I know JonC and antdog42 and used to have cvic or something (think the brotherhood chased him off with their asswipe attitudes). Not trying to be a wiseass, been here too long, but I don't remember jtgiants with some insider info.
And BTW, seems painfully obvious the DG is not signing big names this year or even midlevels. Looks like it will be a couple plug and plays, draft like hell and camp casualties......
it's likely not for any of the FAs that are left. There isn't anybody of significant interest left. Is there someone I'm forgetting?
It must be another trade and/or something to do with the QB position.
Please no more aging vets. I understand FS Antoine Bethea as a stopgap and will help with the veteran leadership this defense lacked before but that's it. You can't rebuild with aging vets. Young with upside please. If it's unlikely they will be on the team in 4 years, no thanks.
Still hoping somehow to trade for Russell Wilson even though it's never going to happen. He still has a great 7 or 8 years left in him IMHO. I really think Russell would be the perfect fit in NY and most diehard Eli fans would not be upset about this. Giants are currently looking at $90 million in cap space next year. Russell will be under contract through next year so the Giants can certainly work something out and even make him the highest paid QB by next year. Cap savings if they drop Eli according to Spotrac is $17 million. Seattle's cap savings for trading Russell Wilson would be $17 million. It makes sense to blow Seattle away with a deal. I'd give away both #1s.

Hitdog42 not antdog42. Hitdog "retired" unceremoniously, as was his style, the other day buried in a thread. He still said he would post if he hears something worthwhile, but he will defer to the younger generation. JT has been accurate in the past. And Peppers isn't mentioned as frequently in the AssHat Club, but he passes along information buried in threads. Not often will Hitdog or Peppers start a thread.
Eye roll.
Donte Moncrief
Golden Tate
Inman

Justin Houston
Marcus Golden
Clay Matthews

Those would be two solid signings....

Would also be great to nab a RT like Schraeder or Remmers. Then they can draft for luxury.

He'd only think that if Tate had played for the Panthers at some point.
I don't see ant "big things" type of free agents left so to me that means another trade or a big name cut. But that's just me speculating.

Takes one to know one. Kudos to both of you and others who are willing to share information.
