A lot going on and I have been too busy with work to keep up with it all. I saw the Zags lost to St Marys - what's up with that.
Tonight St Johns beat DePaul in a game worthy of the playgrounds on West 4th Street. Wish the Johnnies well but they don't inspire much confidence in me - built more like a playground team than an NBA team.
Please post your random thoughts about college hoops at the moment - like I said, a lot going on, but I've been too busy to follow it all.
I don't trust the committee at all as it pertains to Gonzaga so they'll be looking for any excuse to bump them to #2 out west. TBH, it's not really that big of a deal even if it happens. It only matters if that's the bracket they decide to put Michigan/LSU/Tennessee in as a #3 seed.
Long odds at this point.
Either way, I remain thrilled with the job Ewing is doing on the recruiting trail, and a little bit concerned about his in-game adjustments and Xs and Os. Hopefully a good portion of the latter is just what comes along with having a super young team.
I think they’d be a fun tournament team because they’ve got depth and length to physically match up with most teams. Feels like they can beat or lose to anyone on a given night.
But they could very well get handled tonight against the Hall...
Yep. If it weren't for that game, safe bet that they're last-four-in right now.
Georgetown took a freaking nap in the middle 10 minutes of the first half, any by the time they woke up they were down 20. DePaul hit everything for the rest of the game.
That's one of the games I'm referring to with PE's lack of in-game adjustment.
Seton Hall vs St. John’s in semis would be really interesting. But Georgetown is also greatly improved. Love their point guard Abigno (?sp?). Hoping the Hall wins tonight and then is guaranteed invite to the dance.
St Johns will struggle playing 4 in 4 nights (I think they lose tonight tbh) because they only play 6 maybe 7 guys major minutes. Last night mullin had a great game plan. Credit to him. In the end they won the game they needed. I’d rather be an 11 seed over the 8/9 anyway. Anything to avoid a #1 seed.
Georgetown is a top 15/20 team next year w the talented freshmen joining the nc state transfer.
That's just mean.
Relax man, it was just a joke.
Score's 70-49 now, btw

You didnt enjoy gus's antics when the kid the and 1 and he karate chopped a cup of water on the scorers table? Man, that was passion.
Settling in to watch 'em...
Just watched some of the pre-game - you're right that it is all Zion, all the time. Glad to see him back though.
Meanwhile, the Johnnies sucked against Marquette - bah.
Now it's just luck and not likely but god I hope NYK lands #1
Ha yeah. Coming off a bad knee, still living above the rim, still more athletic than anyone on screen
I think UConn is 2-30 in the 2nd half.
I don't care about next week as much as I care about next year. If his knee is significantly damaged, after his two ACL's, that could be a career problem.
I thought we were poised to win one or two next week. Now just happy to be there.
Anyway, losing sucks but we kicked ass
the theory of "getting the loss out of the way" may apply if it's win-or-out from here. I enjoy watching UVA - just some fun and talented players on the team. That said, FSU went with two or three big men much of the time and they weren't stiffs - that's not a bad team.
I would still take him #1 without a second thought. But I would not be surprised if he’s not as successful in the NBA or doesn’t have a long career as a top NBA player.
Izzo ain’t far behind.
