But go back 1 year leading up to the draft ... DG etal were all over Rosen. I believe he was the backup plan if someone jumped ahead and took Barkley. If Rosen is available at not too great a price, me thinks he becomes the heir to Eli.
They know what Rosen is. I've heard the stories and concerns. If the Giants like him and can get him with a #2 I think you do it if Haskins or Murray are not available or don't rate the pick at 6 or 17.
We just traded an actual not potential an actual Superstar whose teammates love him. Because of off field issues. Yet we should trade for a guy who is know as not the best teammate, has attitude problems but because his initials are not OBJ, yeah, this is the guy to lead our team. Seriously? I have enough of this. No to Rosen

All the negative shit you just posted was sort of debunked at AZ along with him not being tough. Guy survived the worst line and 55(?) sacks and never said a peep as far as I heard.
Yes JonC said the Giants had concerns, but maybe after a year in the NFL he matured and developed.
that would be ideal, we have a year to see who he really is, how his teammates like him and most important how he looks in camp and preseason. If some of the boxes do not check, we go all in for a QB next year... no big loss
Seems like a legit plan
So this is just more from that Graz report right? Â
If Rosen is available, NYG might be interested. But even if he is we don't know if they make an offer
Net effect of the statement was 0 and it might as well have not been said. "If yes then maybe, but even if really yes maybe not"
Professional journalism. Not just the author, but the editor and the seeming consistent errors from a major 'news outlet.' Then as said above it's also due to the 24/7 news cycle, and all us fools who still click, comment, etc even so

It was mind-boggling how bad that sentence was. I showed it to my wife, who an English literature minor, and her reaction was, "This doesn't mean anything."

yeah, they tried to spin a "no comment" into a click baity title
That's exactly how Eli won the locker room 15 years ago even though he was the daddy's boy who dictated where he would and wouldn't play. Charlie Casserole aside, if we get Rosen I'll have to rethink my move to being a Browns fan. By the way spell check made Casserly Casserole but I like it.

I dont't think you could compare the supposed issues Rosen has with the definite issues OBJ has.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Are you serious? Holy shit.
I'm against Rosen mostly because I think if the Giants thought he was good enough to be the franchise guy last year, they should have taken him at 2 and started this rebuild last year when it made sense.
But this. This belongs in a museum or something, truly.

Leopards do not change their spots. He will keep his mouth shut until he is paid that 2nd deal. Once that happens he will be a nightmare no thanks!

.. that some people think Rosen has an attitude problem because he doesn't like Trump. haha
Wouldn't at least half the players in the NFL feel that way? Seems like an odd thing to just pick on Rosen about.
Yeah, I've mentioned elsewhere - Spencer Hawes, an outspoken conservative, seemed to fit into the mostly-liberal NBA until the league shifted away from no-defense playing big men.
Don't see why political views should disqualify Rosen unless it proves to be a major distraction.
then they can go into the draft to get an edge rusher at 6 and a RT at 17 - or an edge rusher and LB - or two edge rushers or - you get my drift. You get a first round QB without spending a first round draft choice. Of course, I'm assuming that they can get Rosen for a 2nd rounder and maybe something else.
So we want a guy who was picked in the first round last year
Now his team wants to move on from him and take another QB in the first round again
And trade him for a- at best- a second round pick
A team that saw him all training camp and all year long and drafted him after one year wants to walk away from him for a unknown college QB?
He’s our guy?

And your basing this hypothesis on what evidence exactly? Leopards don't change their spots, what exactly are Rosen's "spots" that you are so sure he has and please cite a specific incident that proves it. At least the guy you were replying to gave evidence of Rosen's actual behavior during a year of playing in the NFL.

1. Cards want to move on from him mainly because of the Kingsberry (sp) connection with Murray.
2. In wanting to draft Murray, they lose a ton of leverage in what they can get from Rosen, because everyone knows they would need to jettison him.

It's possible team(s) with multiple 1st rd picks like the Raiders or Packers could offer one of those picks for Rosen.
Invariably when an ‘outlet’ connects Rosen to the Giants... Â
is seriously a no brainer. you get him for insanely cheap money wise and a 2 or 3 whyen we have 12 picks. if he sucks or he has an attitude we cant just cut bait and go for a 2020 QB. its so low risk high reward, giants would be crazy notto do it if they can agree to a deal.
plus the whole we didnt take him at 2. we liked barkley better. we didnt want to take a chance with 2 overall but with a 3rd, he could be worth a risk to check his attitude and mindset.
1) desire, 2) durability (concussions) and 3) toughness. If you've watched the all-passing-plays video of Rosen getting pounded behind a TERRIBLE line, you'll see that the questions have been answered. And he's a better passer than Eli has been in years, arguably even ever.

Nobody expected OBJ to be traded either....

JR - ( New Window )
I can't imagine that even the Cards would draft Murray AND keep Rosen.
I would love to get Rosen for a 2 but I dont think it is happening.
I think we use our huge draft war chest to fill holes this year and in anticipation of next year (Jenkins? Ogletree? Ellison and Martin).
I hope we also parlay some 2019 draft assets into 2020 draft assets to be able to move up for QB1 then.
Is that what it is? LOL
